Looking at the new Lord of Skulls Daemon Engine in this months WD got me thinking; Why don't the Daemon Primarchs have Daemon Engine bodies constructed for them?

They could travel thoughout the galaxy unhindered by their solely Daemonic forms connection to the Warp, bringing slaughter to the hated Imperium.

I could potentially see some being more willing to take advantage of this new body than others, Angron for one.

Are there any explanations or reasons in the fluff why this wouldn't be possible?

Most Demon Primarchs no longer care for the material world.

Magnus has came back a few times as has Angron. I'm not sure if Mortarion was in reality when fighting Draigo.

Most of them are masters of their own Daemon Worlds and have the rest of eternity to do as they will.

A small insignificant battle between billions of mortals isn't of any concern to them.

The demon primarchs, 4 of them anyway, were in the epic game, so its not so much they arent interested in the material world as it is that there is not "space" for them in the 40k game.

I think the demon primarchs have not had enough written about them and it is only in recent years that GW really started pumping out a mass amount of paperback books about their IP.

Also, they are so powerful it is kind of difficult to write about them as ultrapowerful characters are not good prospects to be the center of a story.

Magnus, Angron, Perturabo, and Mortarion have always been canonically hounding the Imperium up to the "present" day (and actually still command their Legions, besides Angron who instead needs to put it back together whenever he wants to lead it out thanks to Kharn. Angron does a pretty good job of that though). It's just that actual specific stories about them doing so are few and far between. Maybe the fluff writers were too afraid to use them. Although the Warhammer Wikia mentions that they're more interested in the great game bertween the gods.

...assuming that latter statement comes from a recent fluff piece, I think it's just the fluff writers trying to make up an excuse for why they always ignore the daemon primarchs despite how the daemon primarchs (at least, those four) have canonically been hounding the Imperium ever since the Heresy. Admittingly, the two statements aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, but still...

Anyways, I think the daemon primarchs might find the idea of being entombed in a daemon machine to be a bit insulting. They already lived life in like, the most bad ass mortal bodies ever which were physical gods among men. After that, getting stuck in a machine body seems kinda demeaning.

I don't know if "hounding" would be the right word for it, since that indicates constant or regular action. Rather I would say they "occasionally pester/foray into" material matters, but they spend far more time in their own domains in the Eye/Warp.
This has been stated before as one reason why Abaddon refuses daemonhood - he gives too much of a damn about overthrowing the lapdogs to be distracted in that way.

Well if I am remembering correctly, Daemon's arn't "given" DE bodies as a tranport like a car. They're more "imprisoned by crazy warpsmith." And under complete control of said warpsmith provided he has the favour of the gods, and the god in question likes him more than said Daemon.

Personally, I think Khorne would have a problem stuffing Angron, Ann'grath of Ka'Bandha inside a Maulerfiend or Lord of Skulls. Too much awesome destruction wasted.

That's not to say it hasn't happened. Odds are Skarbrand and Fatey have both seen service inside a Defiler by some really well liked warpsmith of the Iron Warriors and then been released by their patron or blown up.
