My interest in Sci-Fi has been sparked recently, so finally getting some paint on my Space Station Zero project (that also opens the door to deadzone).

Haven't picked up a paint brush in a few days. Weather has been too nice so I've been outdoors. Might actually get to some model building today.

Also moving some minis around and cleaning out my display case so I can put all my WHFB armies in it instead of my AoS armies...especially since my Stormcast army has been nuked :(.

Finished basing my Gaunt's Ghosts proxies. I also fought my 13th encounter of Five Parsecs from Home. It was a bit of a walk over for my crew led by Not-Attelus and his crew of characters who are totally not ripoffs of other characters from Secret War, lol.

Off to try some more new stuff in Horus Heresy....

I've got a "core" list of 583 pts & then every other week I've been completely changing up the remainder. Usually about 400 pts as we do 2v2 games @ 2k per side.

Began painting a old metal elf...maybe? Druid chick I've had standing around primed and gathering dust for ages now. She pretty much epitomises my Pile of Shame so it feels like a statement of sorts.

Also, here are photos of my Gaunt's Ghosts proxies I finally finished recently (and a random Inquisitor proxy I base painted a while back and plan on painting after my druid elf chick).

Working on my remaining Jetbikes.

Whilst the speed paint/contrast bit is a pain (needs two stages, so doubling the drying time) they’re otherwise pretty quick to paint.

But, also doing the weapon options, so got three Multi-meltas, and six each Volkite, Heavy Bolter and Plasma Cannon to do.

Started working on my zombies and their textured bases.

I made more progress on my elf, not-druid lady. I'm really enjoying working on her. I then rolled up my next Five Parsecs from Home encounter.

Fun, very dramatic model.

I've been painting bases, trying to get a bit more creative than I normally do.

Finished my 10 Tzaangors, and moved on to paint one of my Wall of Martyr bunker. Fun little piece to take a break from more involving project!

Got home this evening & found my MTO Tempest Speeders had finally arrived.

Both looked to be in excellent condition.

So now I've got a pair of speeders soaking in a big bowl of soapy water.

I made more progress on my Reaper chick. When I rolled my next Five Parsecs encounter, I got a Unique Individual, and that Unique Individual turned out to be a precursor wanderer, which I think this mini fits. Her or a Corsair Felarch with a shuriken rifle and power sword, which I assembled. I'm happy with my druid, but not so much her face, which I'm trying to fix. I also assembled a few other minis and finally applied a wash to my GW Eisenhorn mini's base after...years, maybe?

Been putting them off for reasons I can’t quite really explain, and there’s not a huge amount needing doing.

Finishing up some small scatter terrain and walls for my as-yet-unnamed fantasy village project.

Sorting out an entire Empire army, which came to us pretty much in lots and really didn't cost us anything.

Searching for a mini of a bird/pack animal for dnd, and failing miserably.

Finished my 14th Campaign Turn of Five Parsecs from Home. Was a challenge as for that the range of weapons were reduced to 9''. Was fun!

Working on weapon bitz for my older than dirt Deathguard squads.

Blightlaunchers seem a bit hard to come by atm - so some of my DG will be using Deathwatch grenade Launchers (whatever they're called).

I've been building some teeny tiny planes for an I-400 submarine aircraft carrier.

Yes it's weird as it sounds. Built by the Japanese in the 40's, one planned use of these "Seiran" planes was to drop plague bombs over San Francisco and LA. Luckily however the Japanese surrendered before the plan could be carried out. The I-400s were the biggest subs ever built up to that point, and all 3 were scuttled by the Americans.

It's a gorgeous kit by Tamiya, but the fiddly-ness of the Seirans is pretty ridiculous.

Summer is in full swing so the amount of painting I'm going to get done is going to slow sadly...I really wanted my Empire Army refresh to be done...or at least mostly done but sadly I couldn't get it finished in time. So with plans on cleaning out my hobby space I figured I'd just get another model out before the cleanup.



One Engineer from the Old Metal Steam Tank that I based coated last year this time. Finally got around to getting him done! Now just have 1 and a half Engineers to go! although they will have to wait it seems.

Doing DG paint scheme tests on some unfortunate misc figures.
