However, I have a Vampire Counts army still under construction, I just don't actively play Fantasy at the moment and likely won't for a while (I'd guess I won't get into it actively until 9th hits).

Actively 4. 40k WHFb, infinity, and Warmahordes. We will probably kick back up with Malfaux when everyone has M2E. And we beat around with Freebooters Fate here an there.

40k is my absolute longtime favorite, but I play Necromunda pretty frequently and love it too.

Played 40k and quit for awhile, thinking about coming back to it but right now I am focused on learning to play Warmachine/ Hordes. Looking into maybe collecting some models from other games because they look bad ass.

I usually only have TWO of them (rule systems) in play at a time. It prevents boredom with one system and keeps the grey squishy stuff active.

And with gamers of my age group, I can usually manage to find games for ALL of the above.

Trying to find time to get back into Blood Bowl... since I seem to be leaning away from 40K these days, that might just be do-able.

I still have most of a Lizardman army for Warhammer Fantasy, but haven't played since 5th edition.

Likewise, I own a whole bunch of Void, Shockforce, Malfaux, and Anima Tactics stuff, a gladiator game called Splatisphere, and the first edition Aetherverse rulebook... but never got around to doing anything with any of them, aside from the Shockforce stuff which is slowly being absorbed into Imperial Guard and LatD armies. If I ever finish them.

Actively two: Warmahordes and Infinity. Possibly might give X-Wing a try, and possibly Flames of War to play with my dad.

i would say that most people are mentioning Miniatures games , sort of a narrow sub genre of what my interpretation of what a war game is.

Games like Squadleader etc would be what i envision.

Usually there are lots of Chits that you move around. Games like Squadleader etc would be what i envision.

Miniatures games are just wargames that use miniatures instead of chits or tokens.

True. they are more of a narrow subgenre of wargames though that almost deserve a different catagorization. namely miniatures games

Sadly I work construction so I don't have a lot of time to play much anymore but I still get in a fair amount of gaming , especially x-wing since its not as much a hassle to get a game in. I love 6th edition 40k contrary to popular opinion it seems, I've got about 8000pts of guard. And 3500 each of gk and nids. I'm a guild player in malifaux, missed out on the rulebook on gencon because they sold out before Saturday when I got there . Bfg is still an awesome game and miss playing that. I'm a huge fan of ship combat and I feel bfg got it right, shame gw gave up on it even when it was popular. And bolt action I play the germans. I like bolt action's activation system, random keeps you on your toes and makes it so its not necessarily a one sided brutal shooting phase like in 40k. I'm a bit over 1000pts of germans once I finish building them all, only tank I have is a hetzer though, that'll have to change.
