Hey guys,

New to Orks and was wondering if you guys could help me make a fun 1000 point list from the models that I have.

Dakkajets x 2
Killa Kanz x 6
Battlewagons with Deffrolla x 2
Looted Rhino with Boomgun
Biker Nobs (ones a pain boy) x 6
Converted Biker Boss
Trukks x 2
Lootas x 14
Mek Boys x 2
Big Mek x 2
Shoota Boys x 60 (6 rokkits and 2 KlawNobs)
Slugga Boys x 30 (3 rokkits and KlawNob)
Deffkoptas x 2
Grots x 20 and Handlers x 2
Kommandos x 5

No clue where to start, except for either the biker boss for hq or the big mek for an hq... thanks!

I am not the most experienced Ork player by far, but if those were my units, I would probably run something like this:

Warboss on bike-120
eavy armor, cybork body, bike, shoota, big choppa

Lootas-180
x12

Nobz-295
4 nobz, painboy, bikes, big choppas, cybork bodies

Shoota Boys-200
24 boys, 2 big shootas, nob with PK and eavy armor

Shoota Boys-200
24 boys, 2 big shootas, nob with PK and eavy armor

That leaves you with 10 points extra. The lootas can glance pretty much anything to death, the boys are big enough to take shot and still be a threat. the bikers are too scary to avoid, and with a 5+ feel no pain and a 5+ invul, on TOP of t5 and 2 wounds they are super tough.

I like the lists, the second one with the bikes is one that I came up with first, but I figured I'd try more models on the board since the bikers all together cost like 455 points :(

This is what I came up with.

74 models. More shooty and slow moving. Drive the battlewagon up with the Big Mek and lootas inside so everything within 6 inches of the battlewagon gets a 5+ cover save. Keep the two mobs close to the battlewagon (run if necessary) to take advantage of that. The shoots boys and lootas shoot as necessary. Rely on Deffrolla and klaws (S10 both) for more heavy armour. Lootas deal with medium armour or troops. They may have to snapshot but since they're BS2 anyway it's not so bad. Bring in the dakkajet for reinforcements.

HQ - Big Mek with Kustom Force field
Troop1 - 30 Shootas, Nob with powerklaw, armour, boss pole
Troop2 - 30 Shootas, Nob with powerklaw, armour, boss pole
Elite - Lootas x 11
Fast - Dakkajet with extra shoota
Heavy - Battlewagon with deffrolla and 2 big shootas

That's a great bunch of units with tons of options for 1k points! I think a vehicle rush could be really fun-

Two battle wagons with the deffrollaz, for around 240
Stick 39 shootas in there, with the KFF Mek, for another 319
2 units of trukk slugga boyz with nobz with klaws and boss poles, 294

That leaves 147- for a warboss
Give him a bike, klaw, and attack squigg, and that comes to 140. Find 3 points somewhere and he can have cybork if you want, but don't get 'eavy armor cuz the bike already gives you 4+.

Send all that flying across the board- sounds like a good time to me.

I like this, I'm going to give this a try!

Definitely, definitely find those points man, cybork is fantastic on a warboss

I second this one, would be hard to counter at 1,000 points. Two flyers and two heavy vehicles, let alone a reasonable amount of bodies foot slogging it will cause some difficult target prioritisation. Is it overly strong? Perhaps not, but it looks like a fun list.

I prefer giving the warboss megaarmor, as it comes with a powerklaw and shoota

I think the idea would be that only the 20 grots would be foot slogging, and probably kept safe in reserve, so only 2 targets to prioritize for a turn or two. Still, when those 2 targets being armor 14 vehicles with a cover save, that might not be such a problem... Of course, it's a matter or personal play style.
