So apparently this "came out" at some stage. Does anyone know approximately when? (or update number?)

I got an email directly from Mantic Games on September 13th that contained a link to the watermarked PDF.

Oddly the email account was Manticgames [at] googlemail.com


EDIT: Apparently update #88 was the last official mention of the art book.

Hm, I got one on 13th September (though with international time differences from manticgames at googlemail.com, but it only has links for the Bloodstone of Cerillion novella by Jonathan Peace.

Nothing about the digital art book.

Yeah - it's news to me that an art book existed. I only got the e-book novel.

Is it just the same old/same old art, or anything spiffy in it?

I don't know if you have seen all the artwork, Scarlet. I certainly hadn't seen it all before--but I rarely visit the Mantic forums or blog.

For example, there are more design sketches for the trolls, including the sketches that must have been sent to the sculptor instead of the actual sketches we funded.


Mostly, though, it is all artwork we have seen before. Mostly. I wish I had put that money towards the Basilean book instead. :(

Well, I emailed them about it a week ago and no response. Same with the PDFs I never got around to downloading.

While I know they were "busy with the KS" the problem is that at this point they're always going to be "busy with (a) Kickstarter" as there are so many being prepared/running/close to delivery/getting fixed up.

I'm still trying to get the messed-up KoW stuff sorted out. In 1 week it will have been 2 months since I first contacted them about it ...

Did you have to buy it seperately? It wasn't a 'freebie'?

I never got one either.

But I have been chatting with Sarah about a different issue and she sometimes takes a day or three to get back to me but is now resolving some missing bits from some retail stuff I bought AND is letting me buy some metal bits from another kit that isn't offered on their website.

Azazelx, are you still waiting on a response from Stew? I'd forward the whole email chain to Sarah and say "I need this sorted ASAP. I've spent too much on Mantic KS to be ignored like this." I think they'll get the hint.

I sent a rather terse email to Tim discussing the 2 month initial contact and 2 weeks between emails and how I'm getting tired of it, and then shortly afterwards rang them in the UK to speak to Tim directly.

Long story short, no my gak hadn't been packed or sorted, but got an assurance that it would be the first order in the morning (which is more or less a couple of hours ago, UK time.) and that he'll email me to confirm it went out.

So hopefully I can finally put the KoW KS to bed before December. Now to sort out that digital art book...
