Subject: Newbie to 40k, 500 point Dark Angels list

Hi there! I'm new to 40k and I intend on playing in a local 500 point tourney. I chose dark angels as my codex and have been fiddling with my army, and was wondering if the following is a viable list.
HQ: Sammael, Ravenwing Command Squad (naked)
Troops: Tac Marines x 5 /w Lascannon
Tac Marines x 5 /w Plasma Cannon
I only have a box of 10 tac marines right now. I'm willing and able to buy more boxes of units, but I'd prefer to keep it under 200.
Are there any improvements I could make? I'm completely new, so any help would be appreciated

Alright, i changed the tacs around and now have
5 Tacs (Naked)
5 Tacs (Heavy Bolter)
Sammael /w Ravenwing Command Squad (Apothecary Upgrade)
Anything else I could do to improve my chances of success?

Hmmm. If your having Sammy and a command squad at such a low points level then maybe you want a 5 man sniper scout squad to sit on your back objective. This will free up points to add special weapons to your remaining tac squad and command squad.

RW command squad don't need special weps, they get TL plasma talons :3

In a game of 500 points...deff try and use SableClaw. AV14 is really hard to get rid of at 500 points, as anti-armor is at a minimum.
