i am in the process of putting together my Space Wolves and the thought hit me ... since the grey hunters have bolt pistol, bolter, chansword and two grenades ... where does it all go when not in use? ... i can see them carrying one or two while in battle at times .. but some may want to be stowed. and most of that is not really addressed with the bits that come in the box ...

like where would the chainsword be? ... and would the bolter actually have a strap or a holster as well? ... trying to change up the poses a bit .. instead of having a chainsword in one hand and bolter in the other ... but would like to have what they use represented on most of the mini's if possible ...

the bolter would be slung around them like a modern day assault rifle or tucked between the and backpack same with the chainsword .

Some bolters come with straps on them (specifically some of the box sets and the sternguard bolters off the top of my head).

Chainsword would likely be the same (strapped over the shoulder/back).

Obviously pistols and grenades strap to their hip/belt.

I seem to recall that some bolters (and maybe even the chainswords) can be "mag-locked" to a Marine's armor in the fluff/stories. Which in turn means you can probably glue them on anywhere you'd like.

I glued a bolter across the top of the backpack with that Beakie DC....

fluff-wize: all space marine weapons are magnetised.
model:
bolter: between back and backpack, shin.
chainsword: between back and backpack, strapped to the arm.
bolt pistol: hip, shin.

*Insert witty and/or interesting statement here*

Some kits have a nice little holstered pistol and grenade bit that looks great. On some marine models there is a tiny square on the thigh plate that works perfectly for "mag-locking" a weapon in place.

Gets along better with animals... Go figure.
