Who's the odd man out in list 2? Someone doesn't have a raider to ride in.

The first list looks really fun... Just look at it and really think about what that list offers that you can't get from Chaos. I'd take out helbrecht (except if you're using him for fluff) and the command squad.

The squad in the 2nd list runs behind a wall of raiders

Helevrecht is flyffy and gives me army widen fleet and hatred and FC to my HG.


List 1 I like Cuz. Okay. Here is 100 meq models. Half with 6++ have fun.

He can't take out Helbrect and the command squad, he would have to take out Helbrect and the honour guard rules wise.

Read what I replied to and what I put. I know you can take the command squad. What I said was you cannot take Helbect and the command squad OUT (as in only them). Admittedly you can take the command squad out, but the other poster was talking about taking both of them out together. However Helbrect unlocks the HG whilst the chaplain unlocks the CS. Therefore you cannot take Helbrect and the commqnd squad out... what you must take out is Helbrect and the Honour Guard!

ok, so corbulo goes into the HG squad w/ helebrecht, and put him out front so he can tank w/ his 2+FnP and pass str8+ off to the 6++ HG. since the HG will be the main target anyway!

The cost for the assault squad is incorrect, and they cant have 2 flamers in a 5 man squad anyway.
What I would do is drop 1 of those crusader squads and the assault squad, and instead run 20 naked death co or 17 death co with 4 poweraxes.
Id also swap out both Helbrect and Grimaldus for a tanking chap master with aa, se, and th (he can help corbulo tank for the HG). With the 125 spare points you can afford a stormtalon with skyhammer missiles for some much needed AA.

Grimaldus sucks... I used him twice, both times he has been killed in 1 round of combat by pretty much any unit slightly built for close combat. His I4 doesn't cut it for an expensive character, and his rules have little to offer his unit. A chapter master can be built 10x better than grimaldus. A shame really,

I don't rate helbrecht either, but he is not a bad choice. The EC is hardly worth it, a chapter master with iron halo and the teeth of terra sword does seriously better. List 2 would be my choice, but you should make room for melta/gravgun attack bikes....

And some anti-air. An ADL could be worked in with a quad gun fairly easily.

I admit grimy was a fluffy choice where the zealot usr and 6++ caught my eye! Lol. You can make a better custom capt. Or CH usually period far as beat sticks go. Prob will take grimy out if I want more competitive. And just drop back alludes for a Raven w/ hurricane sponsons.
