It's been a while, but this list has been working pretty well for me. I want to know what Dakka thinks of it.

Warboss w/ Mega Armor - 100
Big Mek w/ KFF - 85

MANZ (5) w/ 2 Burnas - 210
Deff Dread w/ 2 BS - 85
Boyz (19) w/ Nob w/ PK - 149
Grots (10) w/ Runtherd - 40

Looted Wagon w/ Boomgun and BS - 110
Deff Dread w/ KB and BS - 95

Battle Wagon w/ Deff Rolla, BS, Armor Plates - 125


MANZ and Warboss ride in battle wagon. Dreads and Boyz with KFF mob up together. Grots sit on objectives or guard Boomwagon.


Any thoughts?

I feel like you are a bit light on troops. The Dreds won't be terribly difficult to take down and the grots won't be either. That leaves you with a mob of 15 boyz. It may benefit you to drop the 'ard boyz upgrade and just add in however many extra boys that that will get you.

For a more durable troop choice, you could drop a KFF Mek and a Dred and throw in a mega armored warboss to make the MANz scoring. This will also give you a few more points to throw into boyz..

I like it overall though.

If this works for you, then keep at it, but if you were to change it up, I would make the following modifications:

Swap 1 of the Big Mek's for a Mega armored warboss. This makes the MANZ troops, and will help you a lot in objective games.

Swap the Battle Wagon for a Trukk (w/ Ram). Most armies have a way to deal with a single Battle Wagon (Maybe you are able to get away with it at 1000 points).

A Trukk only really needs one turn to move flat out and cross the board. When it is destroyed, Ramshackle can be beneficial. Make this a dedicated transport for the MANZ.

If you move 1st then put the truck where you want. If you move 2nd, hide the truck behind cover to deny the Enemy line of sight.

Make the Ard Boyz normal boys, and increase the squad size.

Then Consider adding more boyz or Kans. Kans might be more valuable than the Looted Wagon in you want a mech list.

1 Kan with a BS does 2/3 of the hits that a Deff Dread w/ 2 BS, and it costs much less.

You've got a bit of a math error with your 'Ard Boyz- they're 10 points each, so 14 with nob with klaw is gonna be 140+10+25, so 175 points.

This is okay, though! Make them normal Boyz, take 20 of them(or 19, and leave room for a KFF Mek), and I'd shove them in the battlewagon. Then, as Tag suggests above, put the MANz in a trukk. My theory behind that is not putting all your eggs of dakka in one armored basket: now your opponent will have to choose whether he wants to focus on the huge wagon, or the trukk filled with nobz, rather than having them be the same target thus making his choice a no-brainer.

I'd also wonder if big shootas are the best of your Dreads- I don't run any myself, but I would image you'd want them running upfield to get into CC, rather than stopping to hit things with a few BS5 shots? But maybe that's the cheapest option, and you're saving points, in which case rock on.

Wow didn't even notice the error in the Ard boyz thank you!

As for the other advice, I have been considering alot of these options, I hadn't thought of using a trukk instead of the wagon, not sure if I like it but I can see benefits it would bring.

A mega armored warboss is not a bad idea, I considered this previously just to make the MANZ scoring, I want to keep a pretty heavy mech theme with this list, so I don't want to drop and dreads or MANZ, any thoughts on how to make the Warboss fit?

How do you feel the boomgun is working out? Again, it's not a unit I've toyed with, so I don't know, but you could try swapping it for a second battlewagon, so both your boyz and your MANz can ride in style.

And careful, in your edited list the bottom line lists two different units being grouped with the KFF

It has done me well, I like having a Large Blast Marker to throw at infantry units as I move up my own units. It also gives the grots something to do in non-objective games.

I could replace it with another BW, but honestly I like the Boyz mobbing up on foot with the Dreads and KFF. My on;y fear in loading the Boyz and KFF into the second wagon would be the vulnerability of the Dreads in their lonesome.

That's very fair. Plus. exploding wagons are pretty rough on boyz, so it's probably just as well!
