Hello everyone and nice to meet you!

I picked my eldar back up again when I took notice of the new codex.
However, I've never played 6th ed before, so any and all feedback is greatly
appreciated both on tactics, the list and the different types of units I field,
as I have no idea about how they will perform.

100 Farseer
130 Dire Avengers x10
145 Wave serpent w/ Scatter, S.Cannon, holo fields
132 Fire Dragons x6
145 Wave serpent w/ Scatter, S.Cannon, holo fields
50 Jetbikes x3

165 Avatar w/ Fast shot
130 Dire Avengers x10
110 Guardians x10 w/ Scatter
160 Wraithlord w/ 2 Brightlances
160 Wraithlord w/ 2 Brightlances
90 Support battery x3 w/ Shadow weaver

114 Warp Spiders x6
114 Warp Spiders x6

1744

So as you can see the list is constructed of mainly 2 parts: the
2 grav tanks and the infantry with MC support block.

The serpents have been given Scatter lasers and shuriken cannons, to have good
damage output against infantry and rear armor, without using the shield to stay more
survivable. Dire avengers are there to score and add more to the antiinfantry firepower,
especially with the new psuedo-rending. Fire dragons for anti tank or anti TEQ.
both units try to make smart use of their battle focus, to jump back in cover and survive
longer.

And then ofcourse there's the big mop of fearless infantry and MCs. Basically I have four
BS4 brightlances to deal with tanks, and 3 S6 (7 against vehicles.. 0_0) rending blasts for
infantry. Close-up my I would say the firepower is more frightening, with 20 BS4 shots of
all infantry shredding goodness. And 2 BS5 meltagun shots respectively. Avatar and wraithlords
are also there to counter assault, and if the whole block stays together, no one dreams to assault
2 lords and an avatar. And about the support batteries, am I crazy or is 90 points very cheap
for 6 T7 wounds?

Lastly I have two squads of 5 warpspiders. They can engage alot of targets, as I've read their now
strength 7 against tanks... and with their warpjump I can rely on them to savely jump out of harms way.
They will try to support both parts of the army with all-round firepower, and at to the ability of the army
to pick off units one by one, dealing with direct threats rather effectively.

I am not sure as to where the farseer should be placed though. Oh and the jetbikes are there so I can grab
my home objective and still move the whole foot block to the enemy, firing everything on the move.

Again, any and all feedback greatly appreciated!

Solid list. Since your farseer can't cast powers out of the serpent in this edition, you want to be on foot/bike to throw out the goodies. I see it as either blobbing in the avengers/guardians to have ablative wounds, or in the support batteries for that sweet T7. The former keeps you mobile, while the latter will protect your warlord. The other route is jetbike.

You could drop a fragon, but its not the worst place to have the extra guy. I would drop a spider from one squad to get swords on your wraithlords, another power for the Avatar, etc. If nothing else, you can afford a spear for your farseer.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll just stick the Farseer with the support battery, guiding them, and hoping to roll fortune to cast
on the Avatar.

Do you think the list will perform okay with the strategy I have in mind?

Pretty good list. One thing to note, the serpent shield is anv amazing gun, So make use of it. Especially when it's twin linked.

Mostly Plastic Crack, but I do dabble in Cardboard Cocaine.

It depends I would only buy swords for WLs farseer doesn't need spear because if anything is that close, he should just psykic shriek it.

Also like ninjafire said the Ws shield is fantastic though keeping the Ws alive easily can weigh the damage output sometimes. (but not often).
