So would it be possible for so Human pirate/raider force to link up with ork freebooterz? presumably they would both be lead by separate leaders but could a long term partnership be possible?
Ork warbands used to be able to include human mercenaries as a 'freebooter' option and while they're not in the ork codex anymore, I don't think it's been retconned.
Yes. Though humans cannot drink or eat what Orks drink and eat (not for long, anyway)... and as pirates tend to be a rowdy bunch, one good bar-brawl leaves most of the humans broken, crippled wrecks.
It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
I'd say it'd be more likely for the Orks to be a minor detachment in the Human force, rather than vice-versa - for as long as the fightin' and lootin's good, A small Ork warband might join a pirate crew.
Provided the human leader's tough enough to earn the Orks' respect.
