Ive been out of the 40K universe for about half a year so I'm relearning all the rules and familiarizing myself with the new codex, so feel free to tear this list to shreds. I know I'll take flak for my tank choice with the commander. I tried to make a flexible list, where majority of the units could do damage to tanks or infantry. Its lacking AA but thats better than none. Lots of HQ in this list as well, that will most likely get revised as well. Here we go:

HQ-

CCS: Creed, Astropath, 3 Plasma guns, Medic- Chimera(Auger array) [315]

Primarius Psyker: x2 [100]

Priest: x2 [50]

Enginseer: [40]

Tank Commander: Demolisher, Demolisher [380]

Troop-

PCS: 3 Melta, Flamer [65]
20 Man blob: 2 Melta, 2 AC [140]
20 Man blob: 2 Melta. 2 AC [140]

Vets: AC, Forward senteries, 2 Plasma, melta, melta bombs [125]

Elite-

Scion: 2 additonal members, 2 Volly Guns [114]
Scion Command: 2 Volly guns, 2 Meltas [125]

Fast-

Vendetta [170]

Heavy-

Hydra [70]

-1849

(vets camp back hopefully on an obj, melta bombs to handle deepstriking tanks or outflanking units, protect hydra and plasma to handle the other threats. I know mixing the two weapons is usually frowned upon, but I did it anyways)

You are right that you will take flak for the choice of a demolisher. It is, as far as I can tell, one of the worst, if not the worst, russ in the new book due to the ordinance rules and the points increase. I have to ask, why did you take it?

Also, the hydra doesn't seem very useful as they will most likely be taken out before they can be useful due to the lack of interceptor.

Other than that, it looks alright as far as I can see, even if it isn't the most optimal list.

haha I took the demolisher because of S10 AP2 large blast. I usually can hit more than one vehicle at a time with this, and if there are none in range, it can make a mess of an infantry squad. It both AT and AI.

I agree with the hydra, however I needed something else to help with AA and that was my next best bet(cheapest as well)

The thing is, you have to center the hole in the blast marker on one of the vehicles. Unless they're right next to each other that isn't going to happen.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

You have to make sure the central hole is wholly over a vehicle. not central on the vehicle.

I would cut down on the number of plasma guns in the CCS. Only two can shoot from the hatch of the chimera, and I don't think you are planning on getting out much.

The tank commander's awesome bs 4 is wasted in the demolisher. How does he make it better? You may as well put the squad in your heavy support section and redistribute the points somewhere else. A punisher with multimeltas and pask is pretty cool, with 23 rending s5 shots and two rending multimeltas (makes them more useful at 24" range) and he costs 20 points more than the tank commander's demolisher. You can shred infantry with that squad as well, and it retains the AI/AT versatility you were aiming for.

As far as AA goes, you could drop the the hydra, the augur array and one of Creed's plasma guns and fit a defense line with a quad gun for the blob(s) to sit behind.

edit: miscalculation
