I know all DE would be great at hit and run attacks as well with insurgency but is there a specific Kabal that specializes in insurgency, riots, and kidnappings etc...

That's.......basically what most of the cabals specialise in,it's their purpose

From my understanding, insurgencies usually hide amongest the population, and are mostly made up of "rebels" versus a particular government.

All Dark Eldar kidnap, they manipulate by committing horrific acts and then framing other factions, and they use guerrilla warfare.

Any tactic that would require blending in with a population is something that they... probably do not do.

I see no way to apply that to any aspect of the Dark Eldar. I also don't think riots are terribly relevant, as typically the way to incite them is to infiltrate the population and stir up dissent, then guide them into violence. There's no way any Dark Eldar would be willing to condescend to their prey enough to mingle with them.

I am an Officer in the Marine Corps, I am well aware of what an insurgency means.

Dark Eldar could perhaps get stranded on a planet somehow which is ruled by the imperium and conduct operations against said government to put themselves into power. I believe I read in Vulkan Lives the Eldar did something similar in one of his flashbacks. I was wondering if a certain Kabal specialized in something like that.

But I understand now that, those types of operations are not akin to their way of battle. Thanks all.

I've always considered Dark Eldar as: Pirates.

The old Catachan codex was very much an insurgency type force, with ambushes, booby traps, and guerrilla troops striking through the jungle before retreating when the enemy musters his strength.

2 ways to think of it really.

The DE love to pervert things. It isnt enough just to break a foe, kill them, but it is better to cause despair, pain, confusion. DE will go to great length to manipulate things for their own amusement, so while interacting with humans directly is not preferable, if they can achive great entertainment they will do it.

The DE love swift fast Asymetrical warfare.
