Got mine last week. Sooo stoked. Was hoping it'd get here before the term started though so I'd actually have time to use them.

Just picked a set up from my local store in Milton Keynes. The last one they had on the shelf though.

I'm in the UK too, apparently my local store managed to get exactly 1 copy through to the shelves.

I know there's supply issues and stuff with the contained being delayed to the UK.

But still, blergh. It's tricky this whole 'supporting your local store' thing, where, if you intend to do so, you run the risk of not getting the product at all.

Believe me I know what you guys mean. We tend to have that same problem with infinity in the States.

Still waiting for mine which was pre ordered from firestorm games. No idea what's going on but there seem to be some real distribution problems with x wing recently.

Keyan Farlander is SO STUPID GOOD! Push the limit and double barrel roll every single turn, and still get to "focus" your shooting attacks! So broken.

How are you doing a double barrel roll? The rulebook clearly states that "a ship cannot perform the same action more than once during a single game round (not even when the action is a “free action”)."

Indeed, you cannot double Barrel Roll.

Guess everyone at the FLGS has been playing that wrong then... regardless, barrel roll and target lock is still disgusting.

Well, A-wings are a lot better now that they are 2 points cheaper.

My set finally arrived today.

I've got to admit, I'm a little underwhelmed. It just seems to be very thin on the ground and not massively, well, I guess the word 'evocative' comes to mind.

It's like it's gap filling, as opposed to the excitement I felt when I got the Imperial Aces set - for example, I was having images of 3 Interceptors in formation flanking my fleet in Epic games, etc. - And that's me being more inclined to playing as rebels than Imperials.

I think the thing is that Rebel Aces actually feels like an expansion pack. Whereas most releases you can play the ship out of the box, Rebel Aces is missing most of the things you need- No Elite Talents (Despite having prototype veteran), No Cannons or Torpedoes (so there go half the B-wings options), only two character crew members, and only one (kinda niche) system upgrade. Finally, the two upgrades which actually are useful out of the box are mutually exclusive.

That being said, if you already have a decent collection, the box adds a lot to it's ships. With a reduced cost and ability to stack Elite Talents, the A-wing is actually kinda awesome now. Meanwhile, B-wings love being able to take a crew member for extra abilities, and even the otherwise unimpressive system upgrade card is useful in the right list. Plus, more character pilots is always good.

Of course, with the exception of the Proton Rockets, System upgrade, and crew, there is not really much to give to other ships.
