Spoiler:
We’ve seen a lot of companies look at the history of Japanese nations and their rise on the battlefield but very few companies seem to deal with historical Chinese armies. Watchful I Studios appears to be doing just that however with their first range of miniatures being for both the Chinese Warring States and the Qin Dynasty Period…As you can see they’ve done a lot of work on various heads and body types giving you a range of different options for weapons as well. Spears, Swords, Crossbows, Bows, Shields, and everything in between it seems. There will be both armoured and unarmoured options on the eventual Kickstarter that hopes to fund the production of these in plastic. While of course this is going to be interesting for historical wargamers I now want them to do a whole series of Dynasty Warriors sculpts to go along with them. I would love to see someone bring Lu Bu, Cao Cao and the rest of the cast to the tabletop. It is a mass battle game after all! What do you think? - See more at: http://www.beastsofwar.com/watchful-i-studios/watchful-studios-show-upcoming-chinese-warrior-range/#sthash.dnVNzWqq.dpuf

Please let me know when this starts! Also, please post a KS thread in the main News and Rumors section, too, as there are a lot of non-historical gamers (such as KoW players) who might find this interesting.

Hello guys. Thanks for the kind words. We have a company Facebook page if you want to stay up on the news and we will continue to check out the forums and answer any questions you may have. We are working very hard to produce some very nice miniatures for the masses and hopefully if the Kickstarter does well enough we will produce the core range in plastic. The Kickstarter will launch on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 12pm EST. That's the Monday after Adepticon. Thanks again,

Joe

Hey Joe -- thanks for posting. I am really looking forward to your KS. The renders look excellent so far. You mention the possibility of making the entire core range in plastic. Do you know at this time which units will be initially offered in plastic?

@ Manchu - Well, I would really like to see our unarmored, light armored and fully armored foot soldiers in plastic. I am thinking the chariot with its various options would make a great plastic kit followed by cavalry possibly as a hybrid kit of armored cavalry and 'nomadic' cavalry. Realistically you are no longer looking at core but almost the entire army. Dare to dream.

Of those options, I would prefer to see the fully armored foot soldiers funded first. I think they will be the most distinctive, the most sought-after, and have the most appeal to non-historical players.

Hey guys. I just posted an update under the News and Rumors. Pictures of our 3D prints and other information. Very cool stuff in my humble opinion.
