Hi ,

I love the enforcer models , best troops I have fielded since my love affair with hasslefree started.

I loath the weapon designs , has anyone found a replacement for the hands/guns?

Many thanks

James

You could try Hasslefree they have some cool sci fi weapons which work really well with 28mm models. Heresy miniatures might also be worth a look.

Mad robot, has stuff although it's heroic/GW scale. I also make a couple rifles and pistols, but they are basically heroic scale as well.

Wait. Paulson, what about the sci fi weapons on your site? They have a clean, high tech look that might work well.

OP, what exactly are you looking for in terms of style? And where do the enforcers go wrong?

As for hands, the DFG Eisenkern accessory kit has tons of plain hands.

The guns they design , look bloody horrible..

DFH is a great idea , I will have a look. Cheers

Horrible how? Fake? Chunky? Too busy? Not busy enough? Not similar enough to (my favorite gun)? Not enough like the other Mantic Corporation Marine weapons?
Would you prefer something sleeker? more modern? More anime? More angular?

Honestly, I like Enforcer weapons a lot. I think they look high tech and sleek while maintaining enough recognizable weapon features to get the point across. But you obviously have different tastes, so you don't look for the same things in sci fi zap guns that I look for, which makes it difficult to make recommendations that I think you will like.

They are just bad , its my opinion!

I dont really know what i want yet , but not those !

Tbh , most of the mantic sci fi models are poorly designed imo , but I love the deadzone and warpath games

If you can't point out what you dislike about them, it'll be pretty hard for anyone to point you in a direction without knowing where to start. Good luck finding what guns you're looking for.

There is always a reason people like or dislike something.

Since you appear unwilling to perform the soul searching required to understand why or have done an are unwilling to admit it, you will need to give us a clue what you do like.

Otherwise we can do little other than list suppliers of bits third party parts and kits with an abundance of alternate weapons. You could have got that from google.

Do you want true scale, heroic or something in between?

Realistic weapons, gothic, crude, oversized?

Ok they look stupid. They have a poor design ethic , the shape of them , thats what i dislike , they dont taste right , I dont like the way you cant use them to cut your dinner up , asking a question on here is like pulling teeth!

all I asked for was does anyone have a list of makers of hands and guns for 28 mm models....I will know what I like when i see it!

Something in scale with an enforcer would be useful .

Try a bolter with Eldar hands. Or shurikan catapults with Eldar hands. Those hands actually match enforcers perfectly. The other problem you face is that most companies making models are in line with GW heroic 28mm. Mantic is truescale 28mm. So you need something in size with Eldar guardian hands. Best I can give you.

SM scout hands also work, but are a tad large. Barely noticeable, but it's there.

Actually that wasn't what you asked, you can scroll up to see what you actually asked if you have forgotten.

Armoured true scale hands are likely to be the hardest part. Using the ones from from the dreamforge sprues might be an option.

I thought they'd be a bit too large, but I cross checked the size and was pleasantly surprised at how well my infantry weapons fit the Enforcer models.

It must have been a real hassle getting the left hand free of the Enforcer rifle.

A bit, I basically used clippers to remove the large chunks of the rifle and then carved out the inside of the hand. It took maybe 10 minutes of work all total.

The difficult part was that the hand snapped off the arm at the wrist and because it's so fiddly it was really hard to hollow out, had it stayed attached it would have been much easier. I also trimmed the underside of the rifle slightly and the thumb was cut off so I'll need to add a new one made out of greenstuff. I was expecting it to be a lot tougher because of the PVC but it went together without too mush of a hassle.

That ain't bad. I'd probably trim the stock off the rifle, but other than that it works rather nicely.
