I'm pretty sure no one enjoys hearing people walking around - it's excessively annoying. Whats worse is you can tell by listening to them walk that they enjoy the trotting sound their shoes make. My shoes are made of rubber on the bottom - it just makes sense - it gives me traction and it not obnoxiously loud. Is anyone else as annoyed by this as me?

Honestly not bothered by it though.

Edit: VVVVVV Yes quite a lot of mens shoes are like that.

Also on the other side of the coil i really DO hate the sound that rubber soled shoes make when they fethin SCREEEECH on certain floors.

Aren't a fair amount of men's dress shoes hard soled, in fact?

My dress shoes definitely are. I could hammer nails with the heels. Boots also are hard soled.

If there's anything I'd complain about shoes/walking/noises, it'd be people who don't pick up their feet. That dragging sound...anger.

As this is barely a topic of discussion, and the original post makes incredibly broad generalizations about all women and how 'they', as an entire sex, clearly enjoy the sound of their 'trotting', I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread as we do have women who are part of this community and whether or not those women enjoy hearing the women (and men) who walk around in hard shoes, I'm sure they don't appreciate being lumped into a single demeaning category of 'them', while at the same time ignoring the fact that plenty of men wear hard-soled shoes and most women do not wear hard-soled shoes.
