Arthur Davill (Rory from Doctor Who), is playing Rip Hunter.
There's a character I don't know...
Then there's Martin Stein, the other half of 'Firestorm' in Flash.
Sarah Lance (yay, Sarah!)
Brandon Routh as ATOM.
Captain Cold
Heatwave.
I think the general concept of it is basically DC does 'Secret Wars'. Rip Hunter travels through time picking up various people to go save the day.

So this is basically 'The ArrowFlashverse Does Avengers-style Team-up with a dash of time travel'?
Sign me up. When is the series expected to start? I'm already a series behind on Arrow/Flash, so I'm hoping I'll have some time to catch up on those on DVD before this airs.
Edit: and I've just googled myself into a bunch of Arrow S3 spoilers... Damn you, curiosity!

I think the rumours have it as a kind of miniseries to be shown between seasons of Arrow and Flash. A bit like how Agent Carter is shown between seasons of SHIELD.
Still, it does seem like a cool idea, though, and if it's a shorter series then hopefully it'll be a bit tighter than Arrow in terms of pace and timing (not that Arrow is bad, but Daredevil shows how much better the same formula could be).

The CW president already debunked that.
As it stands, it's going to premiere in 2016. The exact timeslot is as of yet unknown, but it might end up being a "shown between seasons" just because they have openings.
Mark Pedowitz, President of the CW wrote:
The "Flash"/"Arrow" spinoff "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" is being held for midseason and Pedowitz noted that it isn't necessarily being viewed as a "Agent Carter"-esque bridge between seasons of an established show, saying that all three of those shows could and possibly will air at the same time.
"It is a possibility because of the fact that... 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' is part of the 'Flash'/'Arrow' universe. The character will criss-cross as needed and we'll have big crossovers as we can acquire them at the right time," Pedowitz said.

Which is a good way to test if it has legs (or wings, in the case of Hawkgirl there).
Hope this doesn't count as a necro as there's a new trailer:
Some slight spoilers (as in very, very slight) for Arrow 4/Flash 2, but this looks awesome... The effects look way more polished now, the character designs are all spot-on, and all told, this could be the coolest thing on TV in quite some time (though it has some work to do to beat Flash, simply as Flash is just amazing).
Yeah, I was thinking there was a definite Stargate element there. Almost a bit of Dr Who thrown in as well, although that could just be because of Arthur Darvill. Speaking of which, I want that laser revolver of his!
'I've seen Men of Steel die and Dark Knights fall"....
I'll definitely give it a shot.
"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
If anybody doesn't watch the Flash/Arrow, they should definitely try to watch both this week. It's setting up Hawkman/Hawkgirl as well as Vandal Savage for Legends of Tomorrow (they have a new origin story that ties them together).
At a guess, those who are rotated out of the cast will probably just go back to featuring in their original shows. So Sara and Ray would go back to Arrow, Firestorm, Cap Cold and Heatwave back to Flash.
Sadly, those of us in the UK aren't getting this until March, by which point Arrow and Flash will be back on as well... Going to be hectic if we have Arrow, Flash, Legends and Supergirl each week! (and Gotham if you watch that, but I gave up on the first series and while I meant to get back to it, never did).

Who says they even have to be rotated out of their origin shows? This is time travel shenanigans! They could be gone and back in an hour's time.
