Is the cypher dataslate ever updated to 7th terms. So that he and his chosen chaos marines are a formation or have his own detachment ?
Or does it still work in the same wonky 6,5th ish way.

he is you own the limited edition DA codex actually however its not a huge change he just grants your deathwing preferred enemy now (because they already get hatred via the deathwing special rule). beyond that he hasnt changed and yes his chosen are an actual formation now but havent changed beyond that

In a psuedo update for him the BRB FAQ kinda nerfed him. As ICs with infiltrate may not join units without infiltrate during deployment. Really limits his usability now.
