Hi there,
so, as the title says, what is the biggest game you have ever played (your side plus your opponent's one) ?
Myself is 6 000 pts, 1v1v1, it wasn't a good game, really.
It wasn't a serious game, and as soon as the to others players saw I was winning, they became allied, and just killed my marines, then stopped the game. Ok it was MAYBE fun for them, but not for me.
We were deployed in a delta / triangle way, so every one of us fought the two others (until the "twist" ), and the ork player was very afread of the redeemer of the second marine player, I'll always remember that^^
Let us know your greatest battles !

50,000 Points is one hell of a lot of points, especially if it's per side haha.

Was going to be part of an apocalypse game that was at least 20,000 points all up, but never had the time to actually bring my forces on from reserve. The biggest game I've played with myself against one other opponent was 3,000 points per side. Teaming up: I've played a 5,000 point per side 2v2 match.

Tactical_Spam Vanden clearly loves making sweet sweet love to his school. He is the most passionate, learning oriented individual you will ever meet.
War Kitten You should ask nicely before hitting people with your stick Vanden. We're a polite society after all.
2BlackJack1 Snow is great though. Snowmen, snowball fights, frostbite, snow forts, what's not to love?
Kharne the Befriender It's just the smug look of eternal irony while you wait for Creed to pull out his Baneblade so you can steal it.
War Kitten I love how this has gone from a deathly serious war to a discussion about how Vanden is secretly a whale wearing panties. Welcome to the Crusade of Fury.
Irishpeacockz Well this crusade will be endless then as I imagine Vandan has a large collection of inflatables lying around

Biggest game I played was 1v2, 4000 v 2x2000 respectively.

Only did it because I was the only one with 4k+ worth of models, so I let my mates team up with 2k armies.

40k Apocalypse. Chaos, chaos and Orks.vs SM,GK,and 2xIG. Took a total of 20 hours to get to the bottom of turn 5. We split it into two days and it was the only time I've ever played with a Titan of any kind (warhound). It was the most memorable game I've ever played in almost 15 years of 40k

Super heavies included:
Warhound titan
Adamantium Lance Knights
2x Malcadors
5x Baneblades/variants
Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne
Chaos Reaver Titan
2x Stompas

Edit: To clarify, it was 40,000 total. 20k points per side.

I'm assuming the poll means total points on the table. It's been Apoc of course both times. One Heresy with titans galore.

I have perfected the dustbuster method of removing gretchin from farther in the table. No joke. Plastic models, paint will be fine. Blast marker, 50-some die. OK, one sec. Fire up vacuum hose and *slurp* :But don't try this at home, kids. )

Biggest game I ever played in was a 5v5 game where every player brought 2,500 points. That's 25,000 points on the board. It was Imperial vs. Xenos/Chaos.

This summer I will probably join you in that! I did a 30k point game last year. Right now I am in a narrative campaign that will end in a giant apocalypse game that is supposed to last 2 days and span half the game shop. Right now 20 people are participating, a few from out of state. I am bringing at least 10k on my own, so I have no clue how big the game actually will be.

I was there the last year of Miniwargaming's apocalypticon, 600,000 points . You can see my Leman Russ horde across the table from the 2 emperor titans

He's been ferried through hell on a ship that's ten thousand years old to some godforsaken, war-torn rock; He is one of ten million men snatched from his home to fight a war he barely understands; He wages war against devouring hiveminds, ravenous demons and hordes of hyper-advanced aliens with strange technologies and sorceries he never dreamed existed; no one will remember his sacrifice, there will be no records of his deeds, no glorious parades in his honor, and no remembrance of his name. All he will earn is a shallow, unmarked grave on a forgotten world untold lightyears from home.

Yet for all this thankless sacrifice a Guardsman is a man, just like you. He has no millennia-old genetic engineering, no prophetic leader, no miracles of faith. He has his lasgun, his orders, and those beside him. He is the Imperial Guard.

And he will hold the line.

i have done a 40K vs 40K apocalypse game. It was me and 2 other people against 8 people. I had half my teams points as I have that many points for my Eldar. We got first turn and pretty much wrecked face. The rules we used was anything that flys, is a skimmer, or has deepstrike can automatically come in first turn. So my entire force of tanks 3 flyers, and 4 wraithknights jumped into prime position. I then proceeded to blast 2 warhounds, a reaver and I think it was 7 Imperial Knight titans with all my forces. Needless to say the game didnt continue very much longer after that as on the top of turn 1 I had destroyed about a quarter of their forces. It was also the first game I got to bring out my Phantom Titan. It was also that same first game where before the first turn even started an orbital strike had hit the phantom for 12 HP of damage. I was very upset at that...

Although I've got about 25,000+ points worth of armies, I don't really enjoy big games. I like 1-1.5k best as they are generally quick and not too much to keep on top of, plus you have to be more careful in selecting your army. The occasional 2-3k is good to use the stuff that doesn't come out in smaller games. Tried a 5k game once, we both lost interest after a couple of hours. Too long to set up, too long to pack away, and a pain to remember what damage had been done and where.

I think the biggest game I was in was a farewell to 5th apoc game. Everyone brought 3k worth of stuff, I think there were ~15 people there. While amusing, it was also massively unwieldy. The other large game I was part of was a 4x4 player game, again at 3k a person. Much more reasonable.

Biggest game I ever played was 3000 points per side. My Dark Angels vs. my friend's Chaos Space Marines. I won by like one victory point. It was fun, but that was a LONG game. I can't even imagine all these 20k per side games I'm hearing of in this thread!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

25,000 per side, totally wasted a day of my life but it was fantastic!

Used it as an end for a year long escalation league, xenos versus imperials.

Back in the day, me and five other friends would each roll out 2k/2.5k armies (3 vs 3) in my dad's garage. This was pre-Apoc and with no Forgeworld stuff or special characters. We had a massive roll of carpet that was turned over and just about made a 12x4 surface.

Minimal terrain, maximum carnage. Mixture of CSM, Eldar, IG, Orks and whatever I fancied at the time (normally Orks). Never forget their faces when I put down my new, custom battlewagon and then it

Used to go to the local chippy for lunch...miss those days!
