It makes no sense that drop pod can't drop onto enemies. I think that the special rule: imperial guidance system should be removed and drop pods should make a strength 6 hit on all models under the drop pod (friend or foe) as well as one on the drop pod and those models should be moved out from under the drop pod in a fashion that keeps unit coherency. I think that as well as this rule change drop pods should have their point cost raised (for balance purposes) I don't know what the point cost should be raised to though... What do you guys think?

No. Drop pods are cheap reliable unit delivery systems. I'd rather keep them as is and just use Whirlwinds as infantry hunters.

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.

Yeah no because you would get tac marine spam of drop pods that get to deliver a s6 I would say large blast all over the field.

To many unpainted models to count.

On the plus side, it would help out Drop Pod dreadnoughts quite a bit; nothing like squashing some of the potential threats on the way down!

Otherwise it's just going to result in loads of them raining down as cheap artillery with a gun inside that can also provide cover at lots of inconvenient locations. Don't even have to put the units inside them.
