Hey Dakkapeople, i did another list, a bit more stronger than the other (maybe) and i was inspired by some old old list from 4th edition (especially from some Christian Byrne lists and tactics) and i came up with this:

-Lord
demon heart, mark of nurgle, sigil of corruption, meltabombs (the rest will be situational)

- 9 Plague marines
2 meltaguns, Rhino with dozer blade
- 10 Csm
2 plasmaguns, icon of vengeance (or power fist, it's situational), Rhino with dozer blade
- 10 Csm
2 plasmaguns, icon of vengeance (or power fist, it's situational again), Rhino with dozer blade

-Vindicator
Dozer blade, Extra armor
-3 Obliterators
Mark of nurgle
-3 Obliterators
Mark of nurgle

I even thought about Fabius Bile as HQ (because he is a funny old guy with instant death, and he gives +1 S and fearless to a unit) or a Tzeentch lord (2+/3++ it's cool) with some Thousand Sons

This actually seems interesting. I'd be scared to face that. But then again, I'm a KDK player.

I like it but I would put the plasma on the plague marines and melta on a CSM. Just for the further protection from gets hot rolls by having FNP as a backup.

I'd suggest a sorcerer with Balestar of Mannon to buff one of the Oblit groups.

Instead of Obliterators you should take rapier laser destroyers from a $100 forge world codex called Imperial Armor: Volume 13. While you are at it consider Hell Blades for anti air and sicaran battle tanks.

@Grief you think that sicarian are better than obliterators? (i ask cause i never played them) i considered the book but for money and points things i never considered it too much, what do you have in mind exactly, i'm curious

@Sgt Cortez well Balestar of Mannon is always a nice idea, but obliterators get always focused a lot so.. i have some doubt about it

@DAaddict yea, i could eventually swap weapon on the plague marines and transorm another Csm unit in a melta suicide aquad

wow grief thanks for the advice.. i know the stats, i just wanted to know how effective in game they are, cause i never played them, and if maybe you could give me some advice based on your experience.. but it's fine, i get it

If you dont know how to proxy then perhaps you can do what tradito does and post an opinionated poll on which model to use.

Or think about it. 70pts for terminator with a lascannon every other turn?

Or get a laser rapier destroyer for nearly half that price.

Or get a sicaran for the price of 3 obliterators.

I personally like melta guns on MSU and plasma with the larger squads, as bolter guns can usually utilize volume of shots to do decent damage to whatever terminators or battle suits the plasma guns are shooting at, while bolter fire usually does little versus a rhino
With that said, you might even consider making that plague marine squad 5 dudes. At 24 points a pop, you better have a plan for every plague marine. Pricey dudes.

I'm looking at your chaos lord. I assume by "situational" you mean his melee weapon? That dude needs a beat-stick. What is it going to be in different situations?

Make sure you shield your single vindicator with the rhinos. That thing will not last very long unless you get lucky and shield it. Try to find points for a second one. Taking a single vindicator, having it miss its first shot, and then having it blown up on its AV11 side makes for a sad CSM player.

@changerof ways At the beginning i thought for a shooty lord, with maybe a combimelta, but then i thought of giving him at least one lighting claw so if i have to go against hordes i can make a meatgrinder lord (maybe lighting claw and the burning brand) and swap the meltas on the plague marines with flamers, but i will try to arrange another list with 2 msu of plague marines on rhino

Fabius Bile is impossible in a CS-Detachment because of VotLW. Otherwise, very shooty - cannot say i like it, but i'm a assault CS player ^^

@EverlastingNewb aah yea, i forgot that, but it's not a problem, if i take Fabolous Bile i will use the normal CSM codex
