Hi guys,

We are putting together a small Kickstarter to fund the creation and filling out of our Mech Marine cyborg faction for Abandoned Frontier. We already have six poses digitally sculpted and initial castes done for a couple of the poses. We hope to flesh out the faction with weapons teams, Regents and even a Mech Assault tank if we reach some stretch goals. Below is a link to th inactive preview page. Please leave feedback if you get a chance. Zealot will be doing our casting as they did with out Haraki War Golum we put out earlier this year. These will also be resin with separate heads and arms for some pose ability. You can also see pics of the miniatures and others on our Facebook page Abandoned Frontier.

I'm glad you liked the War Golum. Yeah there is free shipping on the $5.00 pledge in the US. I didn't know if it as worth it to put it in news and rumor but would love it if it fits the bill

Since shipping is included, will you be including your war golem as an add on? If I recall, it was $18 shipped already, which is an attractive price for such a large model, a nice price for impulse add ons.

When the KS goes live, you can make a new thread in News and Rumors, or ask a mod to move this one and change the title. More people will see it in News and Rumors.

We have a couple concepts set aside for stretch goals but yes we definitely will be adding the war Golum as a add on for anyone wishing to add one to their reward as well as hopefull a couple other options

As much as I love huge power armor, I can't help but wonder if those heads would fit on the barrels of their guns. Maybe they shoot helmets at their foes? Gives new meaning to the term "headshot".

Yeah they do seem small but they look much better once they are attached

If we are able to hit one of our stretch goals we will be able to give the mech marines there medium combat vehicle the Beta Class tracked automata. A cross between a cyborg and a ft-17 tank.

I like the turret well enough, but the chassis and treads look like an Imaginext toy. I think you made the same mistake as Mantic, trying to go for a distinctive sci fi look with your tank rather than a practical one. I'm not saying you need to make an M1A1 hull for realism, but maybe tone down the boxiness of the chassis, give the treads a more modern look, and reduce the window in the glacis plate. Maybe find inspiration from the Merkava, Swedish S-tank, a Terminator movie HK, or even GI Joe?

Obviously, if everyone else likes it keep the design. A live campaign will draw a lot more feedback.

I see what your saying. This is kinda were we wanted to go with it but a couple aspects will definitely change once the sculptor gets a hold of it. Thanks for the feedback Bob I greatly appreciate your views on this.
