Ok to use "normal" predators?

So I am planning on starting out a word bearers legion when burning of prospero comes out (one of those and one BaC). The thing is a forgeworld predator is quite a bit more than a regular predator and they can have the same armament (I think). So would you be OK with me using normal predators in 30k?

As long as they are painted appropriately, then knock yourself out, IMO.

There are some though who will pitch a fit if every model/bit isn't FW resin... Best to just ignore them.

Go ahead if I remember correctly those patterns began to see use during the heresy anyway.

The FW Predator is the Deimos pattern, the GW one is the Mars pattern. As far as I know the Mars-pattern Predator was fairly new during the Heresy but it could easily have seen the field alongside the older design.

I do the same thing. Mostly out of aesthetic preference as I like the Mars pattern Rhino hull more than the deimos.

99.9999999% of Heresy Players dont care what 'Variant' of Rhino Chassis you're using, as long as it is Appropriately modelled and Painted

Real 30K players use Lucius pattern Rhinos....

Uses Mk. VI RTB01 marines and RT era rhinos. Was 30k compliment before 30k existed.

On topic, I’ve used my 40k pred in 30k without complaints. And loved what they did with the AC by the way... Mmmm heavy 4.

As long as I can look at the gun and tell what the gun is, I don't care what mark your Rhino or Land Raider is.
