Never liked the general look of Craftworlds, imo if you put a bunch of militarized Kardashians in space for millions of years, not only would they look vastly different from each other, but also look sleek and cool. Where did all the antler stuff god? They need to resemble some egyptian theme like beetles etc.
GW please do something about it, it's on high time!

I don't even know how to respond to this. The CW aesthetic is by FAR my favorite in all of the 40K universe.
If you want a CW that has Egyptian aesthetics....THAN DO SO. I put all kinds of bird and feathered iconography on my Eldar, plus several Old-hammer High Elf bits. My stuff does look different, but I like all the aesthetics involved.

The Craftworlds haven't existed for millions of years...
How many models actually ever featured antlers? One Warlock?
Scarabs (I assume that's what you mean by Egyptian beetles?) are already taken by Necrons and Thousand Sons.

The wraithsinger, Eldar Avatar, and one of the old Eldar Farseers had what arguably could be called antlers.

Personally, I still use Bullwinkle the Farseer.

I'd hesitate to describe those examples as 'antlers' exactly, but if that is what is meant, I struggle to see how a handful of models could be reasonably described as 'all the antler stuff' (which obviously implies a relatively significant number of models featuring antler stuff).
Plus, of course, the Avatar is still a current model, and the Bonesinger was recently [re-]released, so the antler stuff didn't actually go anywhere anyway!

Ooops yes CW was created at the creation of Eye of Terror which is a "recent event", not millions of years ago, but still over 10k years it should still have some diversity.
Eldar Autarch, Eldrad Ulthran, Khaine, bonesingers, various DoW farseres
No, there are already a craftworld that resembles a beetle, just that's horrible designed. "Doom of the Eldar board game"

Eldar the best looking army out of all the 40k factions IMHO apart from the space marines who get pretty much all the attention anyway

Where they fit is having one of the oldest ranges still out there. Not as old as Sisters, and I'm sure there are some other secondary forces that still rock mostly old models.
The only plastic Aspects are DAs and CH. The rest of the Aspects are still finecast.

I disagree, I think the model range looks great. Even nit picking it the only two models showing a bit of age and need an update are Jain Zar & Karandras.

Warp Spiders still date back to 2nd edition (with the phoenix lords) and really need an update.
They (apart from shining spears) are the only aspect that HASN'T had a newer model since they were created (and it took several editions for SS to get models - they were first shown in 3rd ed codex (no models).
EVERY other aspect has had at LEAST 2 resculpts over the years.

The new jetbikes would have seemed the ideal time to redo shining spears. Kinda surprised that they missed that opportunity.

I'm starting to not be surprised. There are many cases of missed opportunities for models. Another example is when they designed the until-then unheard of Crimson Hunter/Hemlock
Why the heck was that not a plastic Nightwing, the already established most common Eldar flyer in the fluff? Make it a dual-kit, fine, but design it to be Nightwing + brand new unit, not 2 brand new units.

They did a lot of weird stuff like that. Same thing with Tau and the Barracuda.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

I think it is something to do with internal politics between FW and the rest of GW. That and GW seemingly not caring overly much about continuity.

Erm..... No?
Craftworlds are one of THE oldest factions of the game, their style had been around longer than I have.
What percent of people would be happy if the eldar style was changed? >1%?
Just no.

What are you on about... first of all the look awesome, they aren't sleek they have spires and stuff (antlers) sticking out everywhere, have you even taken a close look at the craftworld artwork... the domes are obviously necessary as its a world, not just a ship.

Antlers? The natural progression of the Aelfdarrii (space elves) aesthetic is based on their fans tastes. So im going with Renaissance Fair cat people

The Eldar are one of the nicest looking armies out there. They still have all the antler stuff, have you said this before, I remember having this argument way back. They aren't going to look different at all, there is no mechanism for natural selection, just like what has happened with humans, they can't evolve. There is nothing to take any traits out of the gene-pool, they all mate with one another and weak traits and strong traits are going to pass into the gene pool equally. But then again the Old one's created the Eldar so they might not evolve at all but if they do evolve then I don't see them evolving now.

Eldar have one of the best, most cohesive aesthetics in the game...all due to their origin within Jes Goodwin's brainbowl. A lot of his old Eldar art was seen in RT/2nd edition metals, but was lost along the way. They do not, and I can't stress this enough need some Human-based historical trope like Egyptians, etc.
They have a lot of ancient Greece in their original design already. While the entire Eldar range needs an update...with the direction GW is going with plastics and over-fussy designs, I think we could end up with far worse than what we have. The War Walker was a piss poor redesign, but the Jetbikes, Wraithguard, Wraithlord, etc. were excellent re-makes, very much keeping with the original aesthetic. Note that the Eldar remakes have actually been far close to their old designs than almost any other faction which gets re-done models (outside of basic Space Marines, perhaps). I think GW know that the Goodwin Eldar aesthetic is a gold mine and they shouldn't feth with it.
What I do miss - a lot, is the actual charm and character of old metal Guardians. The plastic kit which is now aging and boring as feth, needs to be redone and gain back some of the beauty of the older models.
Pardon the subpar paint schemes, as I've done these up as pirates or corsairs, but look at the variety in the old Guardians.
Note for people of the politically 'woke' persuasion (and yes I threw up in my mouth typing that) - many of the old Guardians are females. You had models with cybernetics, etc. There was waaaaay more thought put into these minis than the plastic relaunch.
Oh, and for the antlers, I turned this guy into a Bonesinger for my army:
I would like some new plastic Aspect kits as much as the next Elday player...but I do not have 100% confidence that GW wouldn't muck it up with bizarre over-detailed stuff with 32mm bases etc...

I've had all the 2nd edition stuff and have found memories but I'd rather have more realistic models like we have now, I mean 40k in the 90's was like playing the game on acid.

Okay. Many Eldar units have not been updated for a while. I hate those raisin models. They just look ugly. It''s high time the Dark Reapers get a makeover to make them more like the Japanese Shinigami and less Space Marine Chaplains.
