I have recently acquired a baneblade tank, specifically a stormlord. This is what I'm working with.

Spoiler:

Now I don’t play Imperial Guard, but I am collecting Orks. I figured I could make a fun project of making the stormlord into an Ork vehicle. But I have a dilemma, what vehicle should I make? I've never modified a model that has already been built, so I thought I would plan ahead. Behold, my amazing skills of illustration.

Spoiler:

The first sketch is my idea for a battle fortress. Basically I’ll be adding platforms, a second floor and some pillboxes on top of the existing model. Fortunately, forgeworld came out with some 8th edition rules with a power level, but no point value. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

The second drawing is for a killtank. Imagine an oversized, Ork version of the german sturm tank. I’ll basically be piling on scrap metal and making some jury-rigged spaced armour. The killtank has 8th edition rules with both a power level and a points value.

I'm happy to hear opinions and what I could do differently or what else I could add.

Battle Fortress seems to make the most sense.

My two cents,

A battle fortress with so much Dakka that it looks like a giant pile of guns would be a pretty orky thing to do.
