A long overdue few tweaks put live just now. A lot of behind the scenes updates, but one that everyone should enjoy... the gallery now shows massive images instead of 800 pixel wide images. Enjoy all the new bugs and my poor testing

Thanks for the update, Lego.

I have a question regarding linking images though. Is there a way to customise the size of the image when you link it from it's page in the gallery to a thread here?
If you do a straight copy image location then it comes out as big as it is in the gallery. I know there's also the recommended sizes on the bottom right of the page as well, but what if you want a size somewhere in between them all?

If I remember correctly, you can use an HTML image tag for the gallery, a bit of a pain, but allows you to specify an exact height and width. <img src="url" height=x width=x >

Is that with square brackets instead of the "<" signs? That would be so useful, as I tend to resize images to 750 - 1000 pixels wide before uploading - the 600 pixel "medium" size is just a little too narrow for my preference.

Will give this a try... very cool

upon checking, height and width get cut out automatically to avoid abuse of super tall or super wide images. Apologies!

Images will always fit to the borders of a post, they'll only stretch the page out in previews and in the moderator log.

BrookM, really? It seems like we've had lots of issues with images making pages scroll sideways in the past, right?

Also didn't quiiiiiite follow all the technical stuff from lego but from playing with it and his follow-up it looks like it doesn't allow you to set image width using html (darn!)

Loving the new gallery so much, though
