Yes, I know I'm 5 years late....

Just started watching Critical Role - I'm 8 episodes in. This is going to take so much catching up.

On a side note, who would have thought watching people play D&D could be so entertaining? At least I am getting plenty of DM inspiration for my own games now.

It really is fantastic, both as inspiration ans just as something to watch/listen to. Like any DnD game it has its ups and downs, but when it's good, it's better than most of what's on TV if you ask me. And yeah, it does a great job of teaching, demonstrating and inspiring the art of the TTRPG.

Have you started from the first or second campaign?

Started right at the beginning, Campaign 1. Currently at episode 18 so a very long way to go yet. I have managed to avoid spoilers thus far aside from finding out that Orion/Tiberius leaves after episode 27. Its not really as a surprise though; as a newcomer, even I can see the tension in the group in certain episodes. The fight with K’varn for example made for slightly uncomfortable viewing as he kept trying to ‘game’ the encounter. It rather spoilt an epic confrontation I thought.
