This series never really figured out how to stick the landing, but I’ll give it a go just because I’m a completionist. And I enjoy watching a few of the actors in this series.
Hopefully gunplay is at a minimum(though alot is shown in the trailer) as that is when this show is at its painfully weakest. If you’re making Star Wars Stormtroopers look halfway decent, you’re doing something wrong. Looking at you Westworld security teams.

I liked both seasons so I'll definitely watch this.. but, kinda feels wrong since almost everything they’re showing doesn’t seem to have much “west” in it anymore.
I think I read somewhere that this is the last season?
Thandie Newton looks fine as always, plot looks interesting if complicated.
Sad no Dinos and little World War II world shown
Maybe there is a Star Trek World where they are telling the story of an ageing Admiral looking into simulants
Really hoping Angela is not gone for good.

Overall enjoyed the first two although the second meandered and lost it focus in the second half.
Will watch it however to see how they wrap it all up.

I think the sequel to the original WestWorld was called FutureWorld so perhaps they are folding it all under the "WestWorld" umbrella for simplicity/name recognition?

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.
Quite enjoyed the opener myself... interesting imagery and character bits

I'm waiting for a few more episodes to drop.

About halfway through the episode I was thinking “maybe this will work better as a binge” because, boy, was there a lot of stuff being setup here. I’m still going to watch it week by week, mainly because I loathe spoilers, but I think it’s going to be a very different experience on rewatch once I know where all these hooks are going (which, to be fair, was true of the first series too).

For me, its more to do with the fact that I felt the second season was hot garbage at roughly 1/4th into the season and it never really grabbed me after that, though I kept watching, hoping it would recover. I don't want to fall into that trap again.

I was trying to figure out if that’s who that was.
Also I am really digging this series:
Spoiler:
The initial misdirection of Delores being the evil AI that will enslave / destroy humanity being superseded by humanity already being enslaved by an evil AI?! And I guess Delores is now going to be the evil AI that saves humanity, and her own race, from enslavement?
I was wondering how they were going to match all of the parallel timeline / nature of reality stuff from the previous seasons now that they’re in the real world, but I was not expecting this and I’m loving it.

I just thought it was another Delores inside Charlotte
re Delores being the savior - well not sure her cure will be any better than the disease?

Hmm its still interesting but finding it difficult to care much about anyone....
I had thought that
Spoiler:
Charlotte was Delores but not all of them
Ah well see what happens as not many more episodes.

There's a bit too much action and shooting of guns for the sake of it in this season, it didn't bother me so much the prior seasons as it fit thematically, but there's a million and one shows out there that have a token gun fight every episode, Westworld is above that.

Another episode I did not really enjoy....not feeling it this season

Yeah thats one of many many issues I am having - apparently unknown someone sends you an email telling you your future and you go mad. King in Yellow stuff.
Its amusing how empty the world is - especially the roads
How inept the guy running the world is - he even knows where people are but sends a couple mooks in a car again and again not slams a decent style missile into the area and cover up woth misfire story.
The action stuff is just not very good, prefer more actuall plot than a badly done firefight.
Not really caring about anyone in the show is the big one though.
not enough Thandie Newton.

Yeah thats one of many many issues I am having - apparently unknown someone sends you an email telling you your future and you go mad. King in Yellow stuff.
It's not really 'unknown someone' though... It's a fictional version of Google, with an even broader reach. If everyone in the real world received a similar email from Google, summarising their entire life history and personality and including a prediction of their future based on that information, I could easily see a similar level of consternation resulting from it. It's not just being told your future (because many wouldn't have believed that part) it's being shown unequivocally just how much information they have on you and the degree to which they have used that to control your life.
That email and the fallout from it is one of the more believable parts of this season's story, IMO.
So far I'm not really into this season that much. They took all the west out of westworld. They should have just renamed it Futureworld or something. I find myself not caring about any of the characters at all anymore. Still gonna watch, but not dropping everything to catch it like I used to.
I have a stupid grin on my face every episode; I’m absolutely loving this season. I do appreciate that it has lost the “Western” part of Westworld (and my wife feels the same as you), which is a shame, but I think it would’ve been difficult (and felt very contrived to keep everything in that totally artificial boundary.
I think the thing I most enjoy is that we have at least four different factions / protagonists and I don’t know which of them will be the actual “big bad”.
Spoiler:
At the end of season 2, it was clearly hinting at Delores, but 3 has been casting Surac / Rehoboam as the villain, but I’m not even sure they’re the same faction (I think one is controlling / deceiving the other and I’m not sure which way round it is.)
Maeve is a complete wildcard as always (do we finally have a replacement for Han Solo as the archetype for chaotic neutral?!)
Finally I wouldn’t put it past Bernard to totally screw things up accidentally whilst trying to do the right thing, as his role always seems to be tragic loser (in the best possible way.)
Oh and I suppose there’s always one or more of the Delores’ going rogue from the others ( Charlotte?), so I guess that makes five. And counting,

Yeah, it wouldn't have made much sense to stay in the park, with the way the story has evolved.
Spoiler:
And I fully expect that at least one of the Delores' will wind up at odd with the others. Although I've been pretty crap at predicting this show's twists so far...
