Hey all!

Don’t currently play AoS, but have been working through a cool (IMHO) army concept for Starborne Seraphon.

Question: Is the Slann in a Starborne Army the dude who dreams up
The rest of them? Or is he also a memory of the world-that-was?

Cheers!

They ret-conned the whole seraphon-are-memories thing.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

NinthMusketeer is correct, and in an earlier thread explained to me that all Slann are the literal Slann from the Old World, who toured around in their Temple Ships for a while before finding the Mortal Realms.

On the battlefield, they summon friends from the Temple-Ships floating up in Azure. Not clear what they're doing up there, but they are imbued with Azyritic (sp?) energy. Seraphon that have stayed in the Mortal Realms for a long time coalesce their essential essence into meat bodies that can meat around. Spawning pools spawn meat bodies, but there is still a current of Azyr-stuff that connects them to the star-magic.

That said, it's your army, and your backstory. It would be fun to have a wizened Slann that is going senile, and is itself creating a projection of a younger, more powerful version of itself.
