Maybe not as impressive as a battlewagon, but the humble trukk provides plenty of opportunity for the up and coming mek. A nice, custom ride for the discerning ork. I recently saw an ork vehicle video going around with this really cool, overheated engine effect and I wanted to make my own attempt at it. I think it looks pretty cool.

Cool trukk, they might want to go a bit easier on the accelerator though!

Nah, it just has garbage rpm's. It makes the engine sound louder.

That trukk is great looking. Really nice job on the paint.
Very nice dust/dirt effects.

Moving on to bigger and better things. Hopefully I'll have more pictures soon.

This things is so nig, it only fits on a PLA printer, so lots of print lines. I'm hoping I can smooth them out with some watered down spackling and some excessive use of sanding.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it is Ork-made. Any flaws can be pointed out as being extra "Orky."

Love the design.

On second thought, I'm not sure if that reminds me of Orks or the madmen who create the challenges for Forged in Fire.

That's what I get for being excited to print something. I have descended into printing hell. Every part on my printer has decided to break at once. I fix one thing and another breaks. I am giving up and ordering a new part. Pray to god that doesn't come with its own complications.

That’s my 3d printing experience to a tee! Every time I get it dialled in, something goes out of whack! Had to dismantle the print head last night after it melted a blob of pla to itself
As for hiding layer lines adding texture is a good way to do it. Using pollyfilla (spackle) is a good choice, stippling it on when watered down would be good. Doing the same with paint works well too. I’ve seen some good use of the Army Painters textured rust paints on YouTube

That's good news to me, because I love to make my orks vehicle nice and grungy. I was planning on sanding down the spackling to a smooth finish, but maybe it will look like molded steel if I leave it rough. I could at least start experimenting with the head.

I have a game coming up soon and it's put the fire under me to get some battlewagons completed!

I am very proud of this one. A solid brick like the land raider it is built upon and covered mud, blood and jagged edges. Like any good ork vehicle. I'll probably post these over in the display gallery so people can give this vehicle a name.

More battlewagons!

We have a casemate gun!
We have a turret gun!
And a machine gun for the cupola!

Everyone gets a gun!

Cool wagons, they’re sure certainly have plenty of dakka. Great additions you’ve made to them

Finally! Progress is being made!

Fortunately, I had an older and smaller printer just collecting dust. With a little experimenting and trouble shooting, I manage to fix that one much more easily. But the pieces fit and I'm slowly printing and gluing pieces together. And my goodness, it is enormous! And it has been quite the puzzle to put together. I highly recommend dry fitting your models.
