Hey Everybody!

I'm a lifelong wargamer who has recently decided to take a half step back from active play and focus on a long neglected collection of 2nd edition Valhallans. I made this account to form a hobby blog and share my work on these Valhallans. I've already started uploading some of my past work into my gallery if you care to take a look

Quick background:

I've been playing 40k since 1994, playing several armies competitively over the years including SM, IG, Tau, Ork, SW.
After paring down my collections I've settled on keeping my Imperial guard, I currently have a large stock of Valhallans with batches of Steel Legion, Mordians and my current Cadians.
I'm an avid converter of models, I often buy damaged or already converted 2nd edition guard figures to rescue into an interesting new light.
I build themed terrain boards for each of my armies as a way to give them a "home board" that matches their basing/character
I also play flames of war and several historical games, including my personal favorite era: Napoleonic

It is interesting that your focus seems to be the snowy steppes of Northern Europe, as mentioned by your collection of Imperial Guard Valhalla and love of Napoleanics.

I recently viewed several excellent videos about the Nazi attack on USSR and their demise at Stalingrad on YouTube and highly recommend them!

Another audiobook series to check out is the Red Baron Audiobook series, with excellent first-hand personal accounts of action on the Eastern Front.
