Does anyone know if they have released updated 40k rules for the new Daemon Prince model.
He now has options, like a gun arm, that the current rules don't support.

AFAIK, the new model isn't out yet.

And there are no new rules.

Maybe in the World Eaters codex?

From a preview box for a different game. Technically, there's models in that box that can't see legal play in that very game system(the Ogroids).

How can they not see legal play if they are in the book that comes in the box that the models themselves are in?

Because the book isn't actually released and thus events won't allow it to be used, and as we all know, as events go, the community goes. We can't even redeem the code in the book for the app yet.

Tournament wise I see the point, but community wise I've already seen people using them, and the new Chosen.

The reveal article a few months ago said that model would get new 40k rules, but as they weren't included in the AOS army box no one has seen them yet.

I'd expect the first place the datasheet will show up is inside the World Eaters codex, then GW will do their big rules & balance update in January and make the unit available to CSM & other chaos factions.

Rumours have said that this Oths of Omen or whatever it's called will have some associated bundle boxes, and the Daemon Prince might be part of that. I could see an updated set of DP rules coming alongside the mini in one of those books.
