Reciently bought gunmetal (for armour) and flat earth (for other stuff) from a local hobby store. Just started using the gunmetal and it seems...different. Not sure if its me not knowing the right amount of thinner yet, or what, or maybe I'm not stirring it right. Who's got some experience to share?

Tamiya paints are not really preferred for brush painting, especially over any sort of large area. They are alcohol based, and thus dry VERY quickly, resulting in brush strokes and lumps.

Yes I was wondering why the damn paint kept trying--I'm going to experiment with thinners and see whats up (I just started using thinners reciently, am likeing what they do to Vallego game colour).

Vallego > Else. Thinners make them go on even smother than normal--good stuff--I use Model Master acrylic thinner.
