I was watching Toy Federation and Retro Rick Game Point on YouTube and was wondering if there was a United States-based store that carried exclusive vintage Games Workshop.
Usually will see random items in the used section in stores but never seen a store specialized in carrying vintage hard-to-find items. I've heard about stores
like this in the UK, but not aware of anything like that in the USA. I also would love to watch their daily transactions like these channels.

Trying to run a business based solely on old Warhammer sounds like a good way to go bankrupt.

I can't think of a store that trades only in classic/old models from Warhammer.

There are stores that trade almost only in secondhand goods - eg Troll Trader in the UK or Noble Knight Games in the USA. However they rarely limit themselves to just old stock and to only Warhammer. Though I think historically TT was mostly Warhammer.


Still they won't just trade in "vintage" they will trade in secondhand in general. So that can include quite modern stuff, just secondhand.


Purely vintage would be far too limited a market for a store unless its a side business. My guess is that whilst you can get good prices; you're not going to get insanely high prices nor are you going to get a big turnover of stock. So your stock is very limited and your profits are decent but not mindblowing.

The one bonus is that the market is generally more stable than many other hobbies which can rise and fall in popularity with big swings.

You also have the problem that any popular vintage minis start showing up in affordable resin incarnations somewhere.

To be honest that's a risk in anything these days. That said it would undercut an already tiny market. You'll always have those who want authentic models and who would be willing to pay more to buy from a reputable trader in authentic goods.


It still doesn't get around the fact that you'd be trading in a super-niche. Like I said if you restricted yourself to just vintage GW models you could carve out a slot for yourself in a very limited scope. It just likely wouldn't generate enough t ogo beyond a hobby shop unless you were super lucky in sourcing material before it hit FB/Ebay

Still, if anyone knows of a store in or near the Netherlands that deals in vintage WHFB stuff, please give me a heads-up.
I have a bunch of it (mostly Dwarves, some sealed/in blister, a LOT unpacked) taking up space and gathering dust in the attic.
I'd hate to throw it away but I'm not home long enough to properly sort it and sell on sites like eBay. And I'd like for it to end up with someone who appreciates the stuff even if it's through a store.

Exclusive vintage GW stuff is a bad business model - there's not that much of it and not much demand, there's too high a risk of fakes or GW re-running it as a special and wiping out any value.

Most 2nd hand gaming stores will have some though

Someone like Troll Trader will likely give you a price for it in bulk, but you'll make *way* more on eBay even if you're selling it in large batches.
You presumably also get eBay reseller services in the Netherlands? You'd give them a box of stuff, they'd sell it on eBay for you and take a comission. Assuming they can list the stuff properly (the new in blister is easy, the loose stuff less so) you should get a pretty decent amount for it.


Or a gaming show with a flea market / bring & buy? I've cleared out most of my stuff that way, though it does mean a few hours at the stall.
