im trying to cover large sections of my gameboard with jungle trees and foliage and basically make it look awesome and jungle-y. ive made a couple of things, crumbly ruined walls, and a cool ziggurat as well as some hills and stuff but it just cant be complete w/o a nice covering of lush jungle trees and foliage. basically im wonderin gif anyone had a good (and preferably cheap ) method of making cool jungle terrain, as well as any cool ideas for dynamic terrain i could do i.e. hills, cliffs, structures, things of that sort. btw i have already looked at the WH40K article on GW that talks about it... but it didnt help me that much.

Use plastic fishtank plants for jungle foliage. Cheap, effective, and quick. If you're looking for terrain inspiration, www.terragenesis.co.uk has some decient articles, IIRC.

I'm backing the aquarium plants, and you can loads of them very cheap from most shops and even cheaper from places like PetSmart or Walmart. Also if you need ideas head to the GW website and check out some of the things in BlackGobbo for the Lizard man army release(s) and the Lustria campaign.

yea i bought a pack of aquariam plants and its good for like touchups, like putting little bits of it on things but i couldnt see making a big foliage-y area out of it, it'd just look like upside vines with little leaves sticking out haha

Yoor Speeshawl too Gawd!

i have used green/unopend pinecones as trunks for fern type trees.  You simply find them soak them in some diluted elmers glue (it holds the scales in place and let it dry.  All you do then is attach some wires and make some paper fronds and your in business.

Only now do I realize how much I prefer Pete Haines' "misprints" to Gav Thorpe's "brainfarts." :Abadabadoobaddon
