Looks pretty good. Looks like they made some minor changes from the books, but probably for the best considering how much of the “action” is internal.

The one thing that slightly bothers me is that book Murderbot pretty much avoids giving its gender (pronoun: it), but to me read as always passing more as a female human than a male.

Looks fantastic. Apple has a pretty solid track record with this stuff and Skarsgard being fun instead of over the top serious has generally gone down really well.

Murderbot is agender and doesn't have primary or secondary sex characteristics (not much reason to build them into a SecUnit, constructs that have those are sexbots), so it would be fairly androgynous. Unfortunately that's also a bit hard to pull off and still have it be suitably intimidating. I've heard folks float Elliot Page, but he's a bit short (Murderbot is always the tallest person in the room), and there's a general lack of enby actors who are also ripped.

I'd have liked an enby/agender actor in the role, but from the footage I've seen so far Skarsgard seems to be doing pretty well to nail both the sarcasm and the autism/PTSD.
