The Centria Army Groups are unique in the fact that they are made up of 4 separate planetary armies, leading to a massive size compared to other Guard armies. The regiments include Lyoma Shock Corps, Feria Blitz Dragonern or the lightning dragoons, Calliua Royal Trenchers and The Calliua Kaiserliche Graben-Korps . The Centria System was isolated by a warp storm for 3000 years, leading to deviations from standard Imperial practices. The planets joined together to defend the system against chaos and orks. Though the planets differ greatly from each other, they work together well.

Lyoma is the most agricultural world in the Centria system, but they do boast the best armoured units in the system and several large cities, they are generally considered the capitol of the Centria system. The Lyoma government is republic and elected Imperial Governor.

Feria is one of the production centers of the system. Their planet is primarily made up of urbanized areas, the non urban areas are polluted. The Feria Blitzkrieg Dragonern is considered to be some of the galaxy's best assault troops, their combined arms tactics making them a fast and flexable army. Theirs is a fascist governmet.

Calliua is a great Hive/Forge world that manufactures 60% of the Centria Army Groupe's equipment. The surface of the planet outside the hive walls is a massive nuclear wasteland created during the Horus Heresy. The Calliua Royal Hives and manufactorums compose 45% of the hive surface area and are ruled by a King or Queen, they are rivals of the Kaiserliche Calluians . The Kaiserliche Hive Districts make up 55% of the Hives, they are ruled by a leader known as a Kaiser in an ancient Terran dialect. Both Royal Trenchers and Kaiserliche Graben-Korps excel at trench warfare and sieges. The Royals excelling at long attrition wars and sieges due to their massive numbers, the Kaiserliche excelling at storming fortresses and trenches.

The Centria Army Groups are also known for assimilating decimated units into their own ranks, there are significant amounts Cadian Shock Troops and Armaggeddon Steel Legion forces contained in the CAG because of this.

The Leadership of the Adeptus Mechanicus and elements of the Departmento Munitorum consider them to be heretics for their disregard for regulations, and use of STC tech that they refused to surrender. However, a Radical Inquisitor was impressed by the resistance of the Centria System, and thwarted any attempts to attack the system. So the Centria army groups began to deploy against the orks alongside Commissar Yarrick in the Third War for Armageddon. The 1st army group is currently stationed in the Cadian Gate, in the imperial effort to repel the 13th black crusade.
