About the Army
This army is the Imperial Coalition Force of the 38th (my hockey #, yea, i'm a Canuck) Cadian, and the Space Marines Chapter "Old Wounds" brought under the same banner by inquisitorial forces.
I painted this army to be a playing army, not for detailed scrutiny of the paint job. As such, the cadians and space marines are quickly painted with scab red armour over a black under coat, and the pants/arms were done with bronzed flesh drybrushed over snakebite leather.

This is the paint job that the army will have, I had already painted most of the squad before I descided on this scheme so I have some work ahead of me!

Troops
The first squad, they use the heavy flamer.
Here is the squad's sarge. I used the bolt pistol arm from the Space Marine Scouts to outfit him. I shaved the sholder pad down considerably till it looke right, and I trimmed off the skulls that are on the wrist guards. I also wanted the peaked cap look so I used the head from the chimera commander sprue.
This is the second squad of infantry, they use the grenade launcher.
And the other sarge...I did the same thing with the bolt gun arm as the last one.
Transport
Here's a chimera, it was one of the first units i ever got, as you can see it is painted to fit a Catachan army. I haven't gotten around to repainting it yet, but will eventually.....
Allies
and here is the assassin! I love the look of the Vindicare and the Eversor assassins, but the only Eversor they had at the store was the ugly one with a head and a machette, so i grabbed this one.

Here's just some random Cadian casualty that i made with spare parts. I think it will eventually be used for a rescue scenario.
Why I Started This Army
I started this army because I loved the way the imperial guard looked. I added the space marines to the army when I read the GW article that talked about allied armies. The two went hand in hand and I thought the Marines would pack the offensive punch the ImpG's lacked.
