Pavonis 41st Regiment- The Steel Eagles

History-

Created in the year 995.M39. Made up of mostly the PDF 8th Regiment, the Eagles, to combat a traitor guard/Mechanicus uprising on a nearby system forge world. In fighting, the 5th company, now A company, with Major Tyruse assaulted upon the remaining Mechanicus tower to slay the traitor adept. Once reaching the top and ammo depleted. The brave men of the 5th drew their war blades and any scrap metal to act as a sword and attacked the Adept and his retinue of servitors. Although 3 squads made it to the top on the first squad and Major Tyruse claimed the kill with the Major's thrown, steel "sword" pierced the head of the Adept, while the rest of the squad built a fire and threw the adept in to destroy every piece of him. With the steel in hand they returned to the regiment in glory, giving the entire 41st the namesake Steel Eagles.

Over the next thousand years the Regiment has achieved many honours and accolades in their service to the Emperor. The 41st were completely annihilated three times in the years 231.M40, 469.M40, 985.M40, however miraculously one squad somehow survived to carry on the traditions and name of the Steel Eagles to the next replenishment of Pavonese men. These squads were all the same designation, G3, so squad G3 is called the "Survivors."

In the year 357.M41, the 41st regiment was fielded with another Pavonese regiment, along with their usual counterparts the 12th Armoured. The 23rd Regiment of the Pavonese, the "Drakes", named after their leader Antonio Drake, served next to the 41st on the Chaos held world of Stumpar.(EDIT IN PROCESS)

41st is divided into 24 companies marked A-X Each company is commanded by the first squad (PCS) and has 7 squads, although not even squad has the same make up. Each squad is commanded by a seargant or higher and these men are given identifiers, for squad designation and vox call signs. For all company commanders they rank 1-21, 22-25 have no officers--- 22 is 2 Orgyrn squads, 24 and 25 are the sentiel divisions that are of the 41st regiment, not 12th armoured.

• Colonel Kross and CCS are called A1-1----> A1 being squad designation, 1 being Kross (as commander)
• Major Welke- D1-4
• Sgt. Sharben- H7-74
• Veteran Sgt. Graper- D2-41
• Heavy Weapons Squad w/ Lascannon-I4-78

Note: Heavy weapons teams have callsigns but there is no direct commander per squad. The squad picks "leader" to have callsign. Same goes for the conscript squads, P4-127 and O4-130, and Sentiel (scout and assualt) squads.

T and U squads are the Storm Trooper squads and very little is known about them to the common troopers, the officers know of them but not who is apart of which, as they keep to themselves and always have their faces covered.

The T-U Squads are made up of the common troopers selected personally by the Lord Commissar and the Colonel to participate in it.

The current theatre the regiment is participating in is the Ouletta Crusade and are currently on the planet Vaeracrus to retake Fottree. Current Status: Town of Bathle (300 km from Fottree)

The fact that I could play as whatever as IG and it really challenges my creative skill to the extreme, in making such a unique Guard unit/ 40k unit.
