THE PULSARA
The Pulsara are an alien race created aeons ago when the galaxy was still young, the ultimate weapon against the ancient evil know as Necrons they have come once again to put an end to the necrons harvest once and for all. Then, only after the necrons have been destroyed, they will have completed their charge from the old ones and be free. Their small personal transports have been arriving for the past eight hundred years, landing on what the Imperium would deem a death world. Slowly they created small bands that roamed the worlds for many years. Transports have been arriving more and more frequently and in greater numbers in the last twenty years and now there are confirmed sightings of larger much more hostile ships carrying thousands of armed Pulsara ready to wage war. The Pulsara have tried many times to contact the Imperium in peace but all attempts have escalated into a full fledge battle, mostly ending with the Imperium picking up their limbs. After the battles the Pulsara leave nothing but strange markers on the battle field.
The Pulsara hate Chaos and its creators the Eldar. They believe that the galaxy would have been better off if the Eldar were killed when the C'tan were unleashed. The Pulsara know nothing of the Tau and the Tyranids because they left the galaxy soon after the fall of the Eldar.
they think that he who is lord of war ought to be appeased by the shedding of blood, to him they dedicate the first share of the spoil, and in his honor, arms stripped from the foe are suspended from the trees of the battle field.
The galaxy has no record of the Pulsara until recently. The Eldar, or the corrupted as the Pulsara refer to them as, were extremely jealous of the Pulsara, the Old Ones most prized creation. The Pulsara are very nearly immortal, each one living to be well over sixteen thousand years old, the only way one would die before its time would to be murdered, from sickness, or in battle. The Pulsara have a very strange ability; at will a Pulsara can warp time around itself letting it move faster than normal. Because it takes such enormous concentration to do this it would be impossible to do this during battle, so, the Pulsara have found a way to imbibe a piece of equipment with their ability. After the Pulsara left, the Eldar purged all knowledge of them from the galaxy, killing all that so much as mentioned the Pulsara. Even the Black Library wasn't safe from their jealousy, they destroyed everything that had any reference to the Pulsara, and so the Pulsara drifted from the galaxy's thoughts as a feather drifts from a bird's wing to the ground never to be thought of again... until now
... the sacrifice most valued... is that of the first enemy which they capture in war. this sacrifice they joffer to Ulic since they beleive him to be the greatest of gods.
Welber's biography
Welber's reign as king has been a short one intertwined with disputes on wether or not it is the right time to reveal themselves to the galaxy. He succeeded his father Saltona after he was killed while trying to protect Welber from a sornakka that had gotten loose aboard his ship and slain his guards. For the past eight hundred years of Welber's reign his advisors have been urging him to keep the Pulsara's fleet on their current path, away from the galaxy the had fled due to the Eldar. But his subjects pleaded otherwise, wishing to exact their revenge on the eldar and to destroy the necrons and complete their charge from the Old Ones. Welber torn between his subjects and advisors, finally chose to alter their course towards the nearest galaxy with known tomb worlds which happened to be ours. Knowing many lives would be lost , he began to ready the fleet for direct attack on the closest tomb world. He ordered each ship to have an entire fleet of phantyms and the single person transports and he nominated a new king in case he and his son died in the attack.
Hellsingers
The Hellsingers are the most brutal order of Pulsara warriors, they are herders that, in order to become part of the order a warrior must kill at least one monster known to the Pulsara in unarmed hand to hand combat. As part of their rite of passage, two hellsingers must fight his way across a planet to a single person transport. Along the way each one must kill at least one of every beast on that planet. A hellsinger can only herd a monster that he has killed and he can only herd as many as he has killed at one time. Many Hellsingers die while trying to earn the right to heard another monster because they become arrogant and careless while hunting them. The Hellsingers keep a running list of battle worthy creatures that they have discovered and where to find them A few hellsingers of great reknown have stolen the offspring of a monster they were hunting and raised it to full size. These creatures were generally more fierce in battle than the wild ones.
Ambassador Bloodfyre's Journal
I began my sojourn nearly twenty pectors ago, being the first Pulsara being willing to go back to our galaxy. My flight was uneventful, as I stayed in my transport's cockpit the entire time, having nothing to do as I approached the galactic plane that we have documented, nothing was there. Curious, I decided to travel a little farther, towards the center of the galaxy. I was amazed at what I discovered, planets teeming with life, planets that we Pulsara could not thrive on. I waited quite a while, and then bored, moved onto finding a planet with the right kind of minerals needed to grow kelmora crystals.
I have found a planet and sent a signal back to general Teresh; he said they have moved closer to the galactic plane ever since five pectors after I set out. He assured me that four squads of Welber's Templar were to arrive here within two pectors and were to be under my command. He also said that there were three transports of civilians on their way to help with building shelters.
The templar have arrived along with four hundred civilians. We have begun to make shelters to protect ourselves from the unforgiving climate. Once finished with the shelters we will begin to grow kelmora crystals which we desperately need.
I received a message from general Teresh saying that the fleet is less than a pector away and that they were sending a supply ship with food and building materials. I shall welcome them greatly since our supplies are rapidly diminishing.
Today a small group of those life forms that I observed on the planet came and attacked us today. They wore a strange bright blue armor that was unlike anything I have ever seen. They had many weapons that fired huge solid metal chunks that exploded as soon as they hit something. They were no match for the templar but they put up an amazing fight. I lost two templar that day but luckily nothing was destroyed. After the battle we left a marker where each brave soul died with their names and how many enemies they killed before they died
The supplies arrived one pector ago along with the fleet. We plan to finish the barracks and then move on to another planet to settle for the next fleet that is soon to come. We are eagerly awaiting our brethren from the rest of the army.
Of Kelmora Crystals
The Kelmora crystal, a crystal found by the Pulsara as they left the galaxy aeons ago. when they were reaching the rim of the galactic plane they happened upon a planet covered in these lustrous crystals. They quickly harvested them, curious of what they were made of, and did studies on them. What they discovered amazed even them, the Kelmora crystals were comprised of a pattern of minerals so complex that the Pulsara began to experiment with them. They tried several experiments, the final one was exposing it to sound. To their wonder the crystals hardened and became stronger than any metal they knew of. Armed with this knowledge they began to make weapons and armor from the crystals.
