After my Ironecrons it's time to switch to something organic and colorful.

I started on my Chaos Daemons pure Tzeentch army, and decided to finalize the theme onto a Chaos Spawn.

This time painted properly without cheat codes (dip). I first figured I'd blend the blue and purple skin together, but suddenly got an idea about a "stitched" texture.
I liked how it looked and decided to go with it instead, gives a nice cruel touch. I wanted everything in my army to be otherworldly, a total acid trip with no sanity whatsoever, and the colors support this.
The ground is purple/pink, the rock is blue obsidian with golden chains hanging on them. The skin has been blended from Warlock Purple/Electric blue to pure white.
I also added some texture resembling muscle tissue to some of the limbs. The bases are made by Micro Art Studios, and I ordered a whole bunch for my army since I ain't good with bases anyway.

Hope you digg.

I despise the new Spawn model in general, but your paintjob is very nice and clean. The colours are very well done and definitely suit the base. Nice job! I'd love to see the rest of your army.

EDIT because I can't spell :(

Oh I dig alright!

Lovely work on the Spawn, the colours are absurdly bright yet it works. I like the stitches because they look a bit like teeth as well.

Nice paint job, and the spawn idea fits tzeentch perfectly.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

The second spawn is now finished. They both have their own, slightly different bases and style. I redid the chains of the first spawn with metallics,
as apparently during my break from miniatures GW had developed inks that you can actually do something sensible with.

I like these, a lot. I think that these are the first spawns I've seen that actually look 'spawny'! The problem with the chaos miniatures is that you see so many of them looking the same, which doesn't fit into my image of random mutations and continual change producing nightmarish monsters and creations. What you've managed to successfully do is to take a model that we've all seen many times before, and make it look 'new'. They truly look horrifying, in all the right ways. Sincerely, well done sir!

Right, the Daemon Prince is ready! Still going with the same theme. I made him a mask from a Defiler (classic) and sculpted some greenstuff to give the sword a fiery look. I added some green stripes and symbols to the electric cords sunken to his flesh. He's colored in a checkerboard style, meaning where the other part of the torso is red, the opposite one is blue. The tongue was sort of an accident. First I intended to create a fall of vomit coming out of his mouth, but it looked too extreme and I withdrew the idea. Instead I cut the piece in shape and made it into a tongue. Hope you digg.

Wow Rune, I was speechless at your first lot of tzeentch. Same again for this demon.

You're blending is second to none. I love the colours too. They look really cold (in a good way).

I usually don't like this model, but the way you have converted and painted it it is very pleasing to look at.

Amazing, cannot wait for your next model/s you show
