More a Psychological Thriller than a Horror movie, I loves Jacob's Ladder(especially since it's one of the big influences on the Silent Hill series).

Also, my current fave also technically isn't a horror movie(but IS also a Psycho-Thriller): Rasen/Spiral, the original and TRUE sequel to Ringu/Ring(as it's based on the second book in the series by Koji Suzuki, unlike Ringu 2). Also, closer to the book than Ringu and Ring 0: Birthday(based on the Short story Lemonheart by Koji Suzuki) was.

Ahh Japanese horror movies ... Normally i could tolerate them ( but i cant find them scary ) but now they agitate me because my japanese friends constantly ask me to
watch those together when ever we go downtown and rent movies -_- I get even more agitated when my friends grab me + scream , then i end up screaming too because
they scared me . Now they think im just faking not been scared of the movie *sigh

I'm one of like 3 people I know who are into J/K/*insert first letter of Asian Country of choice here*-Horror, so I still get to enjoy them. Unfortunately, Anime(other than a few select favorites from the olden days) has lost my interest, but not live action Japanese movies.

I have to sit and endure most of my Japanese class being all "This Anime, That Anime, Japanese internet sensation star of the week!" when on break. Luckily, I've found a few who got into the language for other reasons(including someone who's NEVER seen Anime, ever).

Also, I don't watch J/K/etc.-Horror because it's scary(most a Psycho-thrillers anywho, so not that scary to begin with), but mostly cause most of them make you think. They're also more Hitchcock-ian than American movies these days and I like that.

That's a tough one...I'm a big fan of horror. But, I have a soft spot for zombies (not that it will keep me from contributing some bullets to their brains when the zombie apocalypse does come though)...so I have to say Dawn of the Dead. Both versions are great but I likely the remake even better. Fast zombies would be much more of a challenge.

I too am a huge fan of horror/suspence (gore, etc.),so it's nigh imposiable to pick a single favorite.
However, some of what I consider to be great "horror" films would be...
Hitchcocks "Pyscho".
John Carpenters " Halloween & The Thing"
" The Exorcist"
" The Omen part 1 and 2"
Kubricks " The Shining"
...And of course,George A Romeros "Dead" series.

I have to say The Exorcist, because the makers of that movie didn't pull any punches. That's why they have to provide barf-buckets in the theaters.

I haven't seen many.

Not enough to really put here.

I laughed my way through "The Shining". The fact I was in a room with fifteen other people also luaghing didn't help that.

"lesbian Vampire Killers" was unexpectedly awesome.

Resident Evil and R.E: Apocalypse were both cool.

I would be remiss if I didn't include "Jaws" on this list.
While not a "horror" movie,it is,IMO,one of the greatest "monster" movies ever made.

Well for my 666th post I figured that I would post here!

Jacob's Ladder...All I can think of is that really nasty...actually nevermind.

The Thing is a really great horror movie, and one of the first I had seen so it holds a special place in my heart and I'm happy to see that others enjoy it as well!

Psycho is one of my favorites.

Hellraiser.
Pinhead gets the most amazing lines in those films. He beats the seven shades out of Kruger or Jason.

And yes, Jaws was a monster movie I suppose and it's one of my all time favourite films, most especially for the dialogue onboard the ship between the 3 leads as they got drunk and then Quint's immortal 'USS Indianapolis' story. It's watching that film that makes you realise how freaking awesome Spielburg can be when he wants to be.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. I seriously doubt an alien would be a match for Chuck Norris. But, the first two Alien movies are definitely some of my favorites...in fact I have a chestburster tattooed around my left forearm.

Ok, I have yet another that simply has to be recognized, the film that I belive to be one of the finest werewolf movies in existance..."An American werewolf in London.".
In my opinion this movie is a fantastic blend of horror and humor, and definatly belongs on any favorites list.
