this is both a 40k and fantasy question, so im gonna post this tread in both sections.

basically, is it possible for an ork to "tame" a juggernaut? the reason that i added the "" is there might be another way to control the juggernaut.

fantasy version:

on the forum. Obviously

I doubt it. Juggernauts are not really vehicles, they're more again to demons with armor plating and cybernetics. In order for an Ork to loot one, he'll have to get rid of the demon, and that'll make the thing useless.

A Weirdboy and a Mek working together could tame a Juggernaut. Orks can loot ANYTHING... but I really wouldn't stand too close to it...

hmmm. i think i got an idear on how to do it!

maybe say that the warboss (kinda) tamed a juggernaut (with some help from a weirdboy) and make him count as ghasghkull (tough-ass bastard thats slow because he doesnt have full control over the juggernaut)

I think there was a piece of fluff that Orks hate the Warp, because it is "disgusting" and "Repulsing to them". Same applies to Deamons....

I suppose though a Mek would have a great time looting a juggernaut with its daemonsoul repelled.

ummm, no. Orks have Wierd Boyz who are crazy psykers.

Gork and Mork are also Warp Gods and its their power that the Wierd Boyz draw their power from.

ALL orks are also latently psychic. most of their more advanced weaponry only works when used by an Ork. The ork's "I think it will work" thinking will actually cause it to work.

Literally "I think it can" becomes "It does"

So basically if more than enough orks believe it is possible then it becomes reality?

If the orkz have enough focus to use this ability properly they can pretty much beat any other army in the WH40K universe.

The opposite is true, Chaos finds Orks repulsive and disgusting...

They are too elemental and primal for Chaos to want to deal with (that and their Gods keep kicking the others around, so they all get sulky )

Nevertheless, Orks can certainly be twisted by the Warp and Stormboyz have even been known to rebel against Ork society to the point where they worship gods other than Gork and Mork!

Actually, Orks, love their rides on spacehulks, because they get to kick around any Daemons that think themselves tough.

There's also that Tuska-guy, who was trapped alongside his army in a daemonworld where they get to fight to death everyday, and then rise in the morning.

Offcourse. They can loot a carnifex, what trouble could a jugger be?

O_O errrrmm i don't think an ork can tame a juggernaut. I mean if a champion of khorne and bloodletters struggle to tame them what can an ork do? besides aren't all Juggernauts kept in the stables of khornes fortress where they squish anything the isn't a jugger and butt anything that is?

Unless I'm very much mistaken, underneath the armour juggernauts are daemonic beasts. I would think it unlikely that anyone not sworn to Khorne would be able to command their allegiance. In story terms, an Ork boss might quite plausibly try to do so; that might turn out to be his first step on the road to becoming a Chaos champion.

Doesn't the 40K daemons codex say something to the tune of "Great Champions will often challenge the juggernaught pens, for a chance at taking one as their steed"

or something to that effect?

Which accounts for the CSM & Warriors of Chaos lords on Juggernaughts?

Why couldn't a blood-thirsty Ork appease Khorne enough for a shot at the pens as well? Seems reasonable.

If Orks can loot a Carnifex, they can loot a Juggernaut.

Well, the Juggernaut pens are located within the Fortress of Khorne (which is to say, in the warp)...I guess it all depends on how a mortal would arrive at such a place to begin with. And also, how they might leave. Is it ever mentioned how CSM/WoC Lords arrive at (or leave) the Fortress? I don't remember reading anything about it in Daemons or Chaos codices.

To me, it would make enough sense if the Ork was dressed in some sort of Khornate iconography. I would assume you'd have to be a particularly fervent acolyte of Khorne to get access to the pens in the first place.

An Ork would just have to smack a Bloodletter off his ride and then hang on.

I'm going to agree. As the Juggs would want to do nothing but kill, it would have a very fun time chilling in the squig pen of the Ork Waaagh!
