I’ve developed a system that uses interlocking puzzle pieces that allows you to take apart your buildings for easy transport and storage, as well as combine them so you can make different size buildings or even different styles. You can also get custom Tournament Trays, and Paint Racks.

This is amazing. There is a fine line between what your doing and cheap pop ups, but you'v done these perfectly.

For those whovians out there, I something planned.

Something big.

This is a really neat idea! Like you say on the KS, these are prototypes so I'm stoked to see where you end up taking this process in the future.

Interesting prototype. I wish you luck with the future projects.

OP: If I back at a sufficient level, instead of getting one of each, can I get multiples of the same building?

Thanks Guys!

Pricing on items after KS will be increasing $5 - $15 depending on the product.

Just and FYI... The tray where you place your figs on the Tournament Trays is removable so you can have the same system support more than one army / list. Also if you need one that holds square bases that's no problem either

I've already designed a couple of custom paint systems for KS backers. I have one that looks just like the one in the picture that hold reaper only type bottles (about 30), as well as one that hangs on the wall and looks kind of like a wine rack (where the tops of the bottles are pointed at you) and that holds 135 reaper bottles. So basically, if you have something in mind let's talk!

And yes you can get multiples of the same buildings that's no issue.

Anything else let me know!

Thanks great to have you as a backer. All we need now is just a few more and we'll be funded, since we are less than $300 away from our goal!

Just became a backer for that paint rack w/ added layer. Loving the look of it!

The 10mm dropzone commander terrain is sweet! At that scale, does it really need to be made as puzzle pieces, though?

For the storage and transport not so much, but it certainly for you ability to build bigger / smaller / different buildings. But it you want I can always do them with out the puzzle pieces and you can just attach the 4 walls and roof together like you would any other model.

Any other questions let me know

do you have a list of exact dimensions on that 'standard' tournament tray, perhaps?
also, will custom trays for that be available from you for some time after, or is this really just a thing specifically for kickstarter? (I realize it would be more than $10 of course)

$61 from being funded! Tempting to push it over the top, but I have had to cut myself off after I, um... pledged for the Form 1.

I'm going to forward this on to my gaming group that has Dropzone Commander, though, hopefully some of them will be tempted

Unfortunately I do not. I gave them out as promo pieces to some local hobby shops so they are no longer in my possession. But the detail on them is the same as the church that was painted (ie the line width / depth) and as you can see from that it stands out pretty good, even with my sucky painting skills

It's going to depend on how fast the laser is, but some where a 5-10 bump for level 1 and 10-15 for the level 2, PLUS shipping and MDF is heavy.

Six days left to get them

I don't understand how a level 2 building also works as two level ones. Do the level 2s also come with 2 roof/gable sets?

This is a great project and the stuff looks ace! but I have some critism for how you can improve the product. =)

-The buildings are realy nice, but my problem is I'm more interested in ruins the intact buildings. I just find Ruins a more useful pieace of terrian for more games. A intact building is a huge Brick that most games don't let you move threw and is their only to block movement and line of sight. A ruin gives you Area terrian, Large Line of Sight Blocking Features, and something that limits but not restricts your movement.

-On future ruins make it so the roof has larger wholes in it. It's anyong to have ruins that have huge roofs getting in your way well you try to put miniatures inside of it. It's great for a pieace of terrain to look good, but it also need to be easy to use during a game.

I do want to say the Tournament tray is ACE. This is the 1st Tournament tray I am actully interested in! This looks perfect for things like SM armies. Thow Hole Handles in the side to carrying to table to table would be really nice.
Thing is it does not look as usefull for something like Orks with ALOT of infantry. If possible I would sujest something like in the prototype, accept have the "walls" on all 4 sides of the box. With the Top tray dropping in and sitting on pegs, able to be pulled out to reveal a tray sitting under it so you can store more infantry.

I'm going to be watching this one closely! Awsome work here!

GREAT! I'll all about feed back and making sure people get what they want, because that's what I expect as well!

Lockark wrote:

Thanks Just to let you know, if you pledge for an ALL styles level, you can get them how ever you want even if that's all ruins or how ever, think of it as the total number of buildings that you are getting. You don't have to have 1 of each style.

I see your point about the holes in the roof. The Church is just how that one is going to be. Each buildings holes will be different so I can take that into account on the other designs. Also the roofs do easily remove so if you wanted you could just leave off an entire roof once the battle moves inside if that helps. The main idea with the puzzle pieces is that you are not left with a static pieces of terrain and it can change as your game conditions change. And on the same note, you could start off with a completely intact building then as the game progresses and the building takes damage, you could replace the good parts with ruined parts

Again Thanks

I'm going to mess with the handles once I get the laser in. I thought about the holes, but I'm concerned about clearance between your knuckles and the row of figs because I know some of us have Ork hands, lol. But it will have handles

I'm 100% digging your idea about the infantry under the top tray, and I meant it when I said custom work. Contact me, let's work one out

Thanks for the great feedback!!

Interesting. I have no interest in ruins as they are quite easy to make compared to a nice looking building. Moreover, decent detailing on an intact building at this scale tends to be pricey. Ruins tend to be cheap due to the ease of plaster casting/molding them.

Now I just have to measure my paint drawer to see if one of those paint racks will fit....
