Heavily inspired by this guy over on B&C, this is my kickass knight, stomping a traitorous Emperor's Children predator into the ground.

Annoyingly you have made me want to buy a Knight now.

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out

If you're planning to do anything different with the legs, those little white rods are an absolute godsend. I got them for about two bucks on ebay.

As you can see in the early pics, the feet and legs have a LOT of attachment points that have to be adjusted.

This is looking good so far. Will the predator be leaning slightly forward under the weight of the knight?

I will have to pick some up as I just ordered a Knight

Nice work. However every time I read the thread title I keep expecting to see a knight lying down...

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

That would make sense, but as I've got it currently, the front end of the pred is just smashed in, and I'd have to re-do the leg pistons to tilt the foot if I were going to have the tank at a different angle. :S

It's a Titan crushing a tank: leave the leg as is and deform the pred to create the angle.

Anyhoo, Nice work!

I'm trying to think of something a little bit more interesting than the plain red for the shoulders and top, while maintaining a Mechanicus look.

I'm not great at freehand, but I've got an airbrush, and I can probably manage a stencil. I was thinking half mechanicus skull cog, and half Iron Hands symbol, maybe the Clan Raukaan hexagons, just because they're easy.

Other thoughts welcome.

If you can make the image you like on your computer, you can simply print your own decals on decal paper. Very clean lines and quite easy to do.

I'd never heard of transfer paper before, this is a glorious new thing! Thanks!

Touching up the big shell plate on the top lastnight. Tried to get a slightly greasy look to the vents in the back.

The GW Chainmail just doesnt cover tolerably at all when I run it through my airbrush - but doing it by hand leaves some pretty gnarly brush marks. If anyone has advice on minimizing them (and I thinned the gak out of the paint, just so you know) I would love some tips.

Magneting practically every piece of the gun assembly is a hugenormous pain in the buttock, but I absolutely hate the idea of not being able to switch.

It's taken me nearly a year to finally be able to do even basic stuff with my airbrush, but it makes for absolutely magnificent patterns like the caution stripes on the sword.

Arms are now complete, and looking pretty good! Still a little torn on exactly what I want to do with the pauldrons and base. It's going to be tricky to fit him on there with that predator taking up so much space.

The freehand on that shield symbol was just awful.
