My cousin recently moved out of home and didn't have room for the Eldar he collected in his tweens. I've remained in the hobby and now wish to do his army justice once more!
I was originally posting the images in my plog, but this sub seems like a more appropriate forum.

Give 'em a check and give 'em a vote if you see fit, cheers

+++ Fluff (WIP) +++

Basically, Eldar whom aren't content with their Craftworld's efforts towards the annihilation of Slaanesh, will desert and have banded together under Maugan Ra and will delve into the warp and take the fight to the Daemons. To become a true member of the Hunters of Ra initiates are expected to blank out and black their armour, regardless of Aspect or Craftworld.
With so much exposure to the warp, many other Eldar distrust the Hunters of Ra. The Hunters of Ra ensure that the warp does not take them with constant screening of their forces. Eliminating any who are reasonably suspected of succumbing to the dark forces of the warp.

Interesting. Not sure I'm into the fluff, but the paint work looks pretty good. I'd like to see some kind of proper brake/muzzle on the Warp Hunter (clever kit-bash btw). Maybe add a gem or two - it just resembles the pen used, far too much.

Yeah, the fluff is an after thought. I want to paint the bodies of all the infantry black to save time, but make their heads an appropriate colour.
I don't really know enough about the existing Eldar fluff. Any fluff recommendations why the Eldar might paint their armour black? Corsairs perhaps?

You're right about the pen. Next time I have some excess mixed milliput i'll make up a gem or two.

Cheers for the CC

Nice retro wraith.
The shield is really clever, but I must say Im not a fan of the loin cloth. Perhaps it would look better if the cloth had lots of scribles, like a 2 column book page, but now it looks abit to static.

You're probably right Fayric. I may get around to that finer detail on the loincloth at some point.

Now that's an interesting kitbash. How in the world did you pin that huge heavy crystal on the shoulder like that? The fire prism cannon is hugely heavy. Lots of pinning?

Either way, pretty slick for a conversion.

Hello. I am glad you decided to give these models a new lease on life.

As for the fluff, may I recommend that their armor has been recovered from lost Crone Worlds or Craftworlds in the Eye of Terror? Generally, the armor stays with whatever shrine the aspect warrior originally joined and is used by whoever happens to be part of that shrine at any particular moment. So, stealing and then defacing aspect armor would be a very strange step for one to take.

On the other hand, joining corsairs or harlequins on a raid to the eye of terror would be much more feasible, and any chaos corruption left on the armor could probably be purged by the White Seers, who would likely need a small group of guards and warriors to help them retrieve or guard various artifacts anyway.

Very nice repaints, and I really like these conversions too. Black WAS the colour of mourning for Eldar if I remember rightly - Ulthwe have their Guardians' armour that colour for that reason, being so close to the Eye of Terror and having much to mourn.

The dreadnought is a really cool piece. I like that basing and arm shield too!
