I'll have to wait until I see the models in the flesh before I start criticizing them, Gw's photography always seems to let the actual models down for some reason.

GW's releasing stuff too fast. How the hell am I supposed to keep up with all these new books AND afford all these expensive Third Party Transformers being spammed in the beginning of the year?!

What I don't understand about people thinking it's "too fast" is that they are not FORCED to buy new product the day it hits. It's not like GW has some crazy sale on a new release then a week later the price normalizes to it's regular value.

There are plenty of models that have come out in the last 12 months that I intend to buy, and not once was I worried about getting it NOW. I'll buy them when my time and money align for the purchase to be justified(often I have the money but no time to work on the project, and I already have a huge backlog of new boxes waiting for work).

GW could release an entire 15 army edition and models all at once and it wouldn't really change my spending habits. If anything it would help me organize and schedule my purchases in a more realistic manner.

Just imagine having all that information at your fingertips: full release schedule for models with pictures and all the rules ahead of time to plan out your army.

GW would see a far steadier revenue stream with that model across a 5 year period than they do now. As it stands, I go as much as a year without buying models from them because what I want/need hasn't been released yet.

Friend of mine was saying he heard rumors that teclis was going to get BUFFED, or in the least STAY THE SAME. Can anyone confirm this? I was under the impression that he would get nerfed... but him getting a new model leads me to believe that maybe my friend is correct... though I surely hope not.

It would be like the new lizardmen codex coming out, how everyone agrees slaan are going to get nerfed, and then gw is like "lolol actually we made a new model and we're going to buff slaan"

I could easily see Teclis staying the same, but simply increasing in price.

"We all"? Sorry, not true.

All I've ever wanted is quality miniatures at reasonable prices. I'm quite happy to see GW take their time and get them right on the first try.

Besides, if they come out with a new army every month what are they going to do when they release everything? We don't need a year-and-a-half edition cycle.

I'm confused as to what the PS part means. I'm not sure if it means we'll get Spearmen or not with this wave.

Well, Spearmen are not included in the list, and the PS lists them as rather unlikely releases. So according to this (and other) rumour they seem unlikely for May.

Sounding pretty positive so far, had kind of secretly hoped that they would get griffin flying cav or something to make the extra one's I have useful though

Yes.

I have an inkling that we might actually see a kind of combined "Elven Spearmen" kit. There's a rumor going around that the Elf books are being developed by a kind of "council", and a Dark/High Elf Spearman combined kit could actually be feasible.

The old Sea Guard don't match the current Isle of Blood set, and they have been selling matching LSG online for a while. I don't know if a combined Spearmen/LSG kit would be something they could do.

Odds on new spearmen seem pretty low, GW have passed over a lot of things that need new sculpts recently to make space in the release for oversized things that no one likes. If it isn't still metal it's probably not getting an update.

Well, the rumor mills seem to point towards an update, just not first wave.

I am guessing that they will be one of the combo kits in the future, but there are quite a few possibilities.

It is kind of disappointing that new players drawn to HEs after this release will have to purchase the awful spear models. I hope we dont have to wait 6 months to get the rest of the updated models we have heard are coming. 3 more weeks and we will all find out I guess.

It's entirely possible that the Lothern Sea Guard from Island of Blood will see a general release with a 10 model "box" for relatively cheap.

You can already buy a sprue of 5--and from what I've been told, they actually are selling really well. It's partly why the Cultists from Dark Vengeance are being sold on sprues as well.

It's also worth mentioning that if the Everqueen is indeed making an appearance, she might be able to take her Handmaidens as Core rather than Special.

With the thought on Maidenguard, i'm sure they will be upgraded lothern seaguard, better BS, ws armor? Probably some special rules also.

Used to be same WS as Swordmasters, same BS as champions, immune to psycology when with the Everqueen and a few other tricks.

With everything else that we are rumored to get, I can't see them actually fully returning to their former gloriously awesome selves. If they give us a ws6, bs5, magical bows, 4+ AS, spear unit that is also unbreakable and has martial whatever special ability? That is just so OP im not even letting myself think it could happen. If it does, then I will eat my own foot and cheer like everyone else.
