Do people sell pledges on here at the Swap Shop? I haven't seen any recent ones.

I think by now anybody who wants to sell will have done so and those of us will pledges are looking forward to getting them as we're entering the final (hopefully) few months of waiting,

although you might get lucky and come across somebody who has to sell for financial reasons

I mean, I'd sell mine, with all game content. But you'd be looking to pay at least 2x what I paid for it if you want it.

This is going to be very easy to sell on ebay once it's released, so if you want to buy a pledge now you'll have to make it worth the seller's time.

Had to do a double take when I saw this, but new sculpt from Hector Moran. Not at all like anything I have seen from KD before, but he says it's for Adam and has the KD stamp.

No giant cat dong or hands coming out it's bumhole. No overproprotioned female body. WHAT IS THIS?!?!

Suspect it is something tied to the delivery of KD given the little guy with a box in her hand, but still. Is not at all in the KD style.

Adam lives!

No Update, but Adam answers some questions in the KD:M comments. So it's nice that it's not all radio silence.

He's plugging away, and apparently, there's been some issue or delay with the vacuum-formed tray/insert - this is not uncommon. Saw this with Ogre DE and Journey.

Still, it'd be nice if he can make some kind of update compiling things.

In them mean time, check out the KS Comments.

Interesting stuff, as always!

@Jimmy, I have never nor will I ever lie to you. I shared the information that was provided to me open and honestly. I am sorry you feel frustrated, many of us here, including myself are less then thrilled about the overall production speed. However, as the project leader and the one that selected the talented factories we are working with. It is my responsibility to ensure that they meet our quality demands.

@Chris Linton, That is a matter of opinion. I have put everything into this project, far beyond what most reasonable project creators may or may not have. Chris if you have a problem, message me directly. Since this is a public board, there are many limitations on what I can say.

@Ceetee, no. And I got in trouble for sharing that as it was private information for our printer! I am awaiting on a updated production sample, that fixes some details that went awry. For example, the gorgeous vac tray we worked so hard on to design... kept getting crushed under the weight of all the assets in the game box during our shipping tests! So we've had to thicken it up and add cardboard supports under it.

@Michael Rinaldi, My time has recently been spent on managing the last few things in the way of getting our games loaded onto boats and shipped over to us. This includes finalizing our fulfillment strategy and it looks like there will be good news for our international backers. I know its hard, but we will get there and soon. My time right now, is best spent on the forefront of making this happen. We are close. That's all I can really share at this time.

@Chris Linton, at this point. I am all in on this. No exceptions, no corner cutting. Only the best I can possibly deliver. Your viewpoint of me as a Project Manager is still opinion. There is nothing wrong with that and you are very much entitled to it. For you to state that as fact, you would have had to haven been in the trenches with the team and been part of the daily decision making process. Chris, I can find a single private message from you on dec 14th 2014. I apologize I did not answer your very simple question. If you sent me messages under a different name, please PM that to me so I can find them. We endeavor to answer everything, but sometimes things do slip between the cracks. I am personally sorry.

@Michael Rinaldi, I have stopped broadcasting during the climax points of the development & manufacturing, as they are often very time consuming. I have to very carefully pick my words otherwise misinterpretation can lead to an avalanche of backer communication. Since I like to personally answer these as often as possible, I have found its better to stay away from mass updates during these periods. Michael, I am sorry and I do truly understand where you are coming from. Yes, it seems simple. But right now anything that distracts me from pushing the final little bits of this project over the finish line, are getting filtered out. I realize and accept the downside of having such a filter on. I am looking forward to when I can resume my role of being a more accessible and public project leader.

This project was never about practical business sense. If it was, it couldn't exist, because there isn't any! This was always about reaching for the absolute best experience I can muster. You will hopefully understand when this now 18lb game box arrives. (The thicker vac-tray has further increased its weight). Until then, all I can ask is to direct problems directly towards me and be good to each other here on our shared kickstarter comment page.

Looks as if everything is possibly not on schedule, and that there might be more delays?

Yup, that's how I read it, too. Some minor delay.

But then I had already treated "July, 2015" as "hopefully sometime Q3, 2015", so this isn't that big of a surprise.

I knew his dates were going to slip. Still, Poots has a solid reputation and does, indeed deliver the very best. As long as the figures hold up to the KD standard, I expect most everyone will be forgiving of the delays.

Because I'm bored AND because the Red Sox are losing:

Chris Linton about 6 hours ago

@Adam, I have privately messaged you in the past and have never had a response. Not sure why that would change now. And no, my statement is not a "matter of opinion". As a Creative Director, you are fantastic, one of the best I've ever seen. As a Project Manager you are, not "terrible", I apologize for that hyperbole, but you are bad at that job. The amount of blood and sweat you have poured into the creative side is obvious. The hard decisions that come with managing a successful project are all being made with the creative side of your brain, and that is harming the project as a whole.

For example, if the insert was causing problems, just don't include it in the box. No one expected to have a super-sexy insert, and we would have been perfectly happy with a box. Personally, I always use Plano boxes to sort small fiddly components. It was a great idea, but you seem not to want to make cuts that will help the project as a whole. I would encourage you to continue to make cuts that don't hurt the quality of the core game. If this project ticks over into 2 years overdue (which seems likely) that's really going to damage it.

Chris Linton about 8 hours ago

@Jimmy, it's not that Adam lied, it's just that he's a terrible project manager
.

Chris Linton about 9 hours ago

@Poots "I am sorry you feel frustrated" should read, "I am sorry I screwed this up so badly". "less than thrilled" should read "angry and disillusioned". Take some responsibility for your freaking screwups.

Honestly - angry guy has some fair points - though doesn't get them across well.

I remember reading some of the updates from years (*sigh*) past where Poots kept saying things like "we're using this time to add to this and this and this" and me wondering if adding to the complexity was a good thing.

I do have to wonder if someone else had been managing this (i.e. someone for whom this project isn't their baby) if it would have shipped 6 months ago or more.

This thing is so late - but comes with so much more - that at this point?

Whatever!

Well, 'whatever' as long as the delay is 'only' a few months, of course!

It would be nice to get this thing THIS year after all!

Right?

Since I pledged for a lot of add ons and not the main box, I don't believe I benefit from any of these time consuming improvements. Whatever. I just want it to arrive before Torn freaking Armor does. I doubt I'll have it before Total Extinction, Deadzone 2 or even MEdge.

To be honest, "Chris Linton" is correct that KD:M was not particularly well-managed.

Adam was kind of all over the map in terms of managing this project, what with his plan to sculpt everything; produce everything; then create rules; then print. Plus insane scope creep.

Had he just pushed to get the base game and resins out the door ASAP, he never would have had time to creep the base game up to 18(!!!!) pounds. We could have had that core box in hand over a year ago, and then would be wondering what would happen with all of the Wave 2 expansions and extras, which would be hitting late this year.

OTOH, the game wouldn't be as overproduced as it is going to be.

As for when Adam will make and end? I accept that it will be when he is ready.

As I said before a few times, just like with Raging Heroes, there's no creative director here to say "enough is enough already!" and finally push things into production and shipping.

However, unlike Raging Heroes, we have been well-informed on many of the decisions and we're not met with mock, derision or a temper tantrum over feedback given to the creator and his pet project.

Also, split shipping is not an option, especially not for non-US backers, who have already paid so little in shipping (I think it was $45 or so, don't quote me on that, it's been aeons ago since I pledged). I've got a feeling that the shipping fees may still bite him in the ass once that actually starts happening, seeing as the fees have gone up and up over the years.

You would wish, its a strobe-light with a siren on top and fireworks blazing.

I am really hoping the spinet of possible good news for international customers to be something along the lines of within EU shipping for us.

There is no dodging the tax man, not in any meaningful way. Without manufacturing and or assembly within the EU there are really no options.

You can use a freight forwarder to bring a bulk shipment in but there will be someone paid to send it to the backers that will cost. That cost will be passed to you. It essentially becomes a wash.

He could have it assemble in the EU, chances are, the same result as above. This is why I have a link on the front page of my website to my overseas retailers. Even if I run a 30% off sale it costs the customer a small amount more than if they had purchased it locally at full retail.
