The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Looks like we're off to find Ghal Maraz then. Can't be proper Sigmar without his signature warhammer

I do appreciate anybody that leaks/takes such pictures...but at that size with no shots of the Blood Reavers...how is it even possible to take shots that small with modern technology?

Work in tech support/computer retail for more than 24 hours and you will never ask questions like that again. There are genuinely people out there so caveman-scared-of-fire terrified of/confused by even the simplest technologies they would struggle with those talking phone toys they have in nurseries.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"Your society's broken, so who should we blame? Should we blame the rich, powerful people who caused it? No, lets blame the people with no power and no money and those immigrants who don't even have the vote. Yea, it must be their fething fault." - Iain M Banks

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

My main take away from these pictures: Bloodreavers have stats. I can ascertain no more.

Hoping the rumour about plastic flesh hounds is correct. That would be a fun unit to paint.

Probably cropped from the original photo which was taken at a distance... you know. To be even less helpful.

Ghal Maraz is not a best name ever for a fantasy place tbh.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

A collosal, terrible, flaming, hysterical train wreck with burning clowns running around spraying it with seltzer bottles while ring masters cry out how everything is fine and we should all come in while the dancing elephants lurch around leaving trails of blood behind them.

How could I look away?

Well, it's a hammer given to Sigmar in his Heroquest-days by the Dwarfs, not a place, and one of the few holdovers in AoS from the "old" Warhammer. If that name isn't for you, it's the one-in-a-thousand names in AoS that you'd actually have to take up with the GW writers of old.

Why is there a quest for it anyway? Why not just walk over to the guy fielding 5x Karl Franz's and politely request them to share one with the God - King?

Sigmar loses it fighting Chaos before he rage quits and goes back to the drawing board in the Celestial Realm. Grungni (the Dwarf god) makes Sigmar a new beat stick to replace Ghal Maraz.

Is there a reason why he needs Ghal Maraz Original then?

Is it in the hands of someone naughty?

Possibly. Who knows at this point. In fairness though, Ghal Maraz is a pretty nice weapon to have handy lol.

Indeed it is, in Chamon(Realm of Metal).

Ephryx, the Ninth Disciple of Tzeentch, apparently found Ghal Maraz by chance. The original settlers of the Glimmerlands found the hammer, raised up a monument to it during the time in which Sigmar barred the gates.

Then Ephryx and his followers tore the monument down, found the hammer and were constantly kept at bay by the fact that Ghal Maraz would blind anyone tainted by Chaos. They raised up The Eldritch City over top of it after being given a vision by Tzeentch that Sigmar would one day return for the hammer.

This is all in the big AoS book, page 220-221. PM me if you want the full blurb typed out Alph.

Perhaps Sigmar needs Ghal Maraz original to sell on eBay to get the money for more Storm Caste Sigmarines.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

The implication is that as he imbues the Stormcast Eternals with his power he's becoming weakened---as most of his power was associated with Ghal Maraz given that the Heldenhammer was in and of itself as much a religious symbol as an icon of authority.

So.....everytime chaos kills an eternal, Sigmar is weakened?

And everytime you kill a chaos warrior or reaver Khorne laughs and chalks up another skull?

Chaos obviously did a lot of writing up the rules for this new universe.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

That's where things get a bit murky.

There's a suggestion that Sigmar "intervenes" before his Stormcast are slain, calling their essence back to him and allowing it to be reborn in Azyr.

This will change to direct after initial retail sales die down. GW doesn't want to flood stores with SKUs
